Guest guest
I was told by " the lady " at the health food store (degreed with many years experience) that you have to go VERY slow with the OoO. She says she knows of many horror stories regarding sudden and sever detox. For my son she suggested " one small drop " , per day, in a beverage (if he wouldnt take it orally...which he wouldnt). He did well with this for a few days .. which was all we did. It stinks to high heaven, tastes terrible...go SLOW on the detox . Guest guest
Reese - Thanks for your email and insight. My son is only taking 1 drop in the a.m. with No Phenol during his breakfast. He will be taking this for 4 days and then rotating to another anti-fungal. Thanks again. martha > > > > Two days ago I started OOO (instead of GSE) for yeast issues. As viruses leave the body, my son did get an itchy rash which would last several weeks, then leave. Then the next virus would come out and cause the rash again for several weeks. So it might be this, and not the OoO. Dana
Guest guest
OK...I think I'm starting to run out of antifungal alternatives -- I've removed GSE, OOO. I'm going to try uva ursi, yeast aid, caprylic acid, any others? My son showed 2+ on IGG testing for garlic, similar to grapefruit... My son's rash was only mildly itchy, and even my own viral " die off " rash is only mildly itchy, so I just put regular lotion on it. I have never had to do anything else. Guest guest
Baking soda and epsom salts baths with some calendula oil really helped my little girl from the itchy yeast rashes. I wouldn't think of putting something topical on it due to the fact that suppressing an already depressed immune system is not the way to get a healthier body. Letting it come out and not stopping it will let it all escape the body and help start healing in other places of the body. The yeast is just the tip of the iceberg here. Guest guest
We just did Aveeno with Epsom salts for my daughter's yeast and she's no longer itching in embarassing locations. I was concerned about mixing the two but it worked great. Guest guest
LOL!! I first tried it by dropping a few drops under my tounge!! 1 drop to about 6 or so oz of water. Can still smell it, but not taste it as bad. And yes, word is that it does work when rubbed on the bottle of the foot, etc. Reese > > OMG! Guest guest
My recollection is that you only need a few drops a day -- I am thinking 3 to 6 drops per day for an adult. Guest guest
I tried undiluted OoO a few times, and for some reason the smell and sensation reminded me of burning tires. Rubber tires burning in my mouth. So, no, haven't used it on the kiddo in any way, except that if you add one drop to pizza sauce, it's not bad at all. :-) Renë > > OMG! I have read good success stories about rubbing OoO onto the feet and it helps eliminate yeast. Dana
Guest guest
, Start with just a few drops, then gradually work up to as many as 15. . . . Take your time though. The fungal organisms create a toxic byproduct when they die off . .. . This can accumulate in the liver and make you feel temporarily worse. . . (One reason prescription anti-fungals are to be avoided if possible). You can experience a serious herx if you have a lot of fungal issues and take too much. Drink a lot of water whenever you're taking something like this. Once your fungal issues are under control, you'll stop herxing. Once you reach the maximum dose, hold it for a while, then slowly back down to several drops a day as long as you feel OK. If you feel that you're coming down with something, up your dose and chances are it won't develop. This isn't an exact science because we're all different. In time, you'll learn to read your body. If you'll keep a journal of what you do/eat, and how you feel, you'll soon begin to connect things you never considered. Hugs. Guest guest
I believe Oil of Oregano is a blood thinner. Two weeks prior to surgery you will need to STOP taking anything that will thin your blood... Hope that helps! - S. On 5/28/06, Sunny <wellnessnow@...> wrote: --- , I did more indepth research regarding Oil of Oregano, and although 98% of people agree it doesn't contradict with other supplements or drugs, it was suggested to discontinue use 2 weeks prior to surgery. Guest guest
I don't know how long you are allowed to take it, but we have good results here with Oil of Oregano. I take it myself, as well, and when I stop taking it don't feel as well. Sharon --------- Ever had one of those days??? or years??? Hi Troops! It is almost the end of the year and a time when lots of people reflect on the events of the past 12 months. For myself, I'll be really happy to see 2007 and hope the pace changes. This past year has been a bear. Really, really rough for an assortment of reasons. Ever feel like so many things are being dumped on after another to to the point it is like a drama TV show? Like you get to the point you just want to pull up a lawn chair on your sidewalk to face your house with a big bag of popcorn, and with great fascination, wonder what will happen to these guys next??? My time online has been curbed considerably and hopefully that has changed now. On the enzyme front, I see digestive enzymes popping up more and more. This is really great seeing as how there was little out there at all more than five years ago when this group began. And this group's effort has had a lot to do with that change in attitude and 'press.' There is new magazine available on newstands...it is a quarterly magazine started by Alternative Magazine. In this issue, I have an article: Enzyme Therapy for Autism: http://www.naturalsolutionsmag.com/ns/ Please write the editors and thank them for running an article on enzymes! It started as more of a 'side-bar' piece but after submitting the first draft, they expanded it out. Another article of significance on enzymes is the current feature article in Developing Healthy Habits newsletter available at natural food stores (by me): Enzymes, Celiac, and Gluten Intolerance. It deals with what goes on in the gut concerning the different types of gluten intolerance and how enzymes may impact each type. With the growing interest in using enzyme products like GlutenEase, Peptizyde, Peptidase Complete, and other enzymes for gluten, good education in this area is important. And much of what is known and in action has been developed from the beginnings of this group right here. There is also a growing interest in the therapeutic use of enzymes among health practitioners, both alternative and traditional (and big hurrah!!!). I am getting contacted fairly regularly from that area which is really great because most of us could really go for specialists knowing how to incorporate enzymes into a total health program! Happy New Year. .
