Hi everyone,

Ivy had her first infusion last month of Intragam. She had a not so great

reaction and then afterwards came down with pneumonia with bilateral pleural

effusion. She has been out of the hospital for ten days and her chest xray today

shows there are still some changes and some effusion left.

She goes in for her second infusion on Monday and my question is this;

If there is still infection on her lungs is it likely the IVIG will send her

into a tail spin again because of the immune response the Intragam evokes?

I asked our paed today and he was not sure.

Any information would be great. I know nothing is a given and I know the first

few months are the hardest but would like to be prepared, if I can.

Thanking you in advance,

Tiff
