Guest guest
Dear Aussie Sue, Keep laughing, they say it is the best medicine. It certainly is a good feeling to have reached that level in your recovery, all made possible by a man who came up with the idea of assigning numbers. It's not even tangible, just a number in cyberspace made with a click on the keyboard, but it means so much to the recipients. People clamor to get it, and to own it puts you over the top in your first step on the ladder of recovery. It's like being on the honor roll in school or getting that first star on your spelling test. My mother kept all of my spelling books and every page had a star on it, the only thing I excelled in. LOL Now I can't remember how to spell even simple words. Yes, Zavie knows a lot of people, but what he does means a lot to that same class. I have also said that the custom is like a right of passage in the CML assemblege. When they audit Zavie's book of life, this will be listed among his achievements. He's like our lighthouse keeper, to lead us to shore and safety. Hands & hearts, Lottie Duthu
Guest guest
You expressed it perfectly Lottie, I'm 699 in Zavie's club and I cannot begin to say how much that meant to me when I reached it. Relapsing was sooo devastating to me, and that milestone in my recovery meant so much. I think Zavie has given so many people hope and something to strive for. I was so frightened, and so confused with all the new things I had to learn, people like you and Zavie helped me so much in those first few months, you were always there when I turned on my computer, with calming words. This support group has been a life line to me. Today is a milestone and I am looking forward to celebrating with my family, but i so wish I could celebrate this with my cml family. You beyond anyone else understand how I feel. Thankyou all for being there for me Judy Telford > > Dear Aussie Sue, > Keep laughing, they say it is the best medicine.
