Hello ;

The Gulag link below returns a " not found " error.

I tried to find support for this claim with google, and came up empty.

Makes me suspicious of a cover up.

At my house, #1 had nosebleeds when I tried giving him zinc without

copper [low copper causes nosebleeds]. #2 had nosebleeds when I gave

him fish oil without vitamin K. #1 nosebleeds started right after his

first dose of zinc, #2 nosebleeds started after about a month of fish oil.

I would try giving him the supplement vitamin K, this worked for us.

Natalia,

Nose bleeds can show a need for vitamin C, or stress that uses up your

vitamin C. If you have any C that you know is ok for your child I

would dose him with it. Vitamin C needs to be given through out the

day so I would try and give him perhaps the same amount he normally

gets but give it to him every 3 or 4 hours. Usually helps very quickly

if its needed.

Statistically, bloody nose problem in 20 year old is .....

1. Dry nose inside - skin keeps cracking and blood vessels on surface inside are bleeding easily. Treat with daily vaseline on q tip rubbed inside nose on both sides. (By far the most common problem)

2. Von Willebrand disease with bloody nose problem (much less common)

3. Other medical problem causing easy bleeding(very rare).

I have a 20 year male on the autism sprecturm, and was wondering if any of you have problems with nose bleeding? if you have any suggestion please pass them along to me . Thank You. Donna Rabe

When I was younger I had to have mine cauterized (sp?) after I hit the dashboard in a car accident and had constant nose bleeds. Pam :)

When I was talking to my own parents about her surgery, my parents were like, "Oh yeah, so and so had that same problem" - cousins, brothers, uncles...it apparently is common in my family. Probably just the way we are put together. But anyway, back to the point - go see an ENT doc and see if he can't fix the problem. The doc was going to fix it right then and there but she opted to wait and have it done during the surgery.

One of my son's has frequent nosebleeds. He went to the ENT Dr. & had chemical carterization of the veins. It stopped them for awhile, they came back, but not as bad.Sent from my iPhoneBlessings, DonnaOn Jan 10, 2009, at 7:30 PM, "donna_rabe2001" <donna_rabe2001@...> wrote:

my son is 8 and has frequent nose bleeds. They never last very long. I've mention it to his dotor but they don't see to be concerned. I assume is nose is dry from his allergies.

Vaseline at bedtime works for us too. Doc also suggested application

in the nose of the lanolin cream breastfeeding moms use for their

nipples. Vaseline is cheaper and seems to work just as well, for us.

Humidifier in the bedroom at night works too.

Ana--

Unless it is a nosebleed that won't stop or recurs every day or something, it

shouldn't be anything to worry about. If it seems serious or you have difficulty

stopping it, play it safe and give her physician or oncology consulting nurse a

call.
