Guest guest
Maybe the multiple orthos has to do with holiday craziness? It doesn't seem like the norm. We've only ever seen one woman and we really like her. I'd ask them about it. I agree with Holly on going back to what you used to use and see if that helps. So many soaps that work without issue normally can irritate them in that helmet. Should I be waiting to put the helmet back on till the rash goes away? Is there something else I could do to prevent this from happening again? Should I call CT? Whats weird is he has been in the helmet since 12/1/08 and is just now getting a rash. Guest guest
Hi - Right after Christmas Lucy got a terrible rash to the left side of head and also to her neck - she also developed swelling at the base of her neck and the helmet stunk worse than it ever has. This all really developed in about 12 hours - we take her band off 2 times a day to clean it and wash her head because she is a sweater! So we took off her helmet, put 1% cortisone on all the areas and left the helmet off until the next morning when we could get in to see our ortho - they made a few adjustments and we went to the ped who prescribed some 2.5% cortisone - since then we have been back to 23 hours a day wear without a problem - we just put the cortisone on at night if it is looking red and irritated. And the stink is gone! She has been in it 12/1 too without having any other problems. So who knows, maybe she just grew in those areas so there was new irritation?? I would leave the helmet off and call CT to get in ASAP for an adjustment and keep up with the cortisone once a day - if it looks a lot better before you get back into CT, try the helmet again for short periods to see how it goes. Hope this helps! - Meg > > Hi all, i know this question has been brought up millions of times already but over the past couple days Cole has been getting a rash that looks like heat rash in his eyebrows and on his forehead. Guest guest
I called CT and they suggested the cortisone once a day and leave the helmet off for 24 hours. If the rash persists after 24 hours though Ill have to get him in forst thing on Monday. Too bad we are entering the weekend as I would get him in sooner if the rash is still here by tomorrow. Im hoping it wont be! We just had an adjustment on monday so Im hoping it had nothing to do with that. Guest guest
After 3+y, I have begun reacting to ldn cream with a fine, diffuse, very itchy rash. Plain emu oil remains fine so I know it is not that component. My ASD daughter uses ldn too and has had no reactions. Any ideas? Thanks,

That might be the cause, also check to see if pharmacy has changed manufaturers of any of the cream ingredients.
Guest guest
Hi there, You don't have to be fearful of what might happen to you, because we have plenty of women who have survived their implant experience and are doing well. It can be frightening to go through the health disasters, for sure, and I do not want to downplay the seriousness of those events. I was scared out of my mind when I started getting sick. I didn't want to believe that the implants had to do anything with my illness, because I wanted to keep them. But the more I talked with women who had become sick like me, the more I realized that this was a very real possibility. Then I had to make a choice. Either I kept the implants and got on that awful medical merry go round with doctors scratching their heads about why I was sick and not offering many clues, or I could remove the implants and hope that I could get back to my good health. I chose to the most practical route I could think of. I've always heard that when things get totally messed up in life, you go back to the place, the situation when they weren't. It was pretty clear that if I wanted my health back, the implants had to go. I just wanted to be happy and healthy again. It was the best decision I could have made. It took alot of faith, time and effort at detoxing to get better, but I did, and I am so thankful. You don't have to be filled with fear. You just have to ask yourself what it is you want. If you want health, then make the practical decisions that will get you there. Be careful about listening to what doctors tell you because they can lead you down a dark path. They don't really understand implant illness. Talk to people who have been successful in getting better. Find out what they did. Then make decisions for yourself about what you want to do. That's what this group is for...it is to help women see that they can get better, that life can be good again, that implants are not all they are cracked up to be, and that you can have a successful explant, enjoy your body, find answers to questions about healing and make progress in turning that corner in your life. Breast implants can bring disaster, but it is not permanent. You can survive it. Let us know how we can help. Patty > > > > I've developed a rash that I thought was ringworm I was treated for that and eczema but the rash is reocurring > At first I thought nothing about it but a thought came to my head what about if the implants are doing this to me so I googled it and I found that some of the symptoms of leakage or rupture start with that I have silicone imlants and I have read all this stories and I'm really afraid that it will be me I cannot begin to think what might happen to me. I haven't said anything to anyone about my suspisions and that is eating me alive please give me some support > Sent from my iPhone >
Guest guest
Yes, I had these acne type lesions myself. They went away after proper explant. Not sure what they are, but could be related to fungus, silicone, and something going on in the immune system. Patty > Ive have a rash on my chest. Ive had it for awhile now. It doesnt look like ringworm but at infection of sort. Its similar to acne but they never want to heal completely. My one implant is now completely ruptured. >

Guest guest
You may want to take some anti-fungals in case the LDN is stirring yeast through the skin. Q: Dr. JM or anyone- Does LDN cause candida? A: LDN has been noted to aggravate yeast infections and other latent pathogens, viruses, etc. as the immune system is making early adjustments. It is good to have natural yeast remedies on board when LDN is started (grapefruit seed extract, Candex, lauricidin, hi-potency probiotics, etc) to help offset this possibility. (And of course a good dietary regime that does not encourage gut inflammation which is usually the predecessor to pathogen invasion). Guest guest
Any new insights about what could be contributing to an itchy rash at application site? We're using the emu oil base from a recommended pharmacy; do not have the same response to plain emu oil. Rash appeared after many months on ldn and takes a couple of weeks to go away. Thanks,
