Rheumatologist in Portland, OR

I will be moving to Oregon in a few months and will have to leave my

wonderful Rheumatologist, with whom I have been for about eleven

years.

He is a great doctor, spends over an hour at each visit, follows my

bloodwork very carefully, explains things clearly and leaves

decisions up to me. He is very aware of the pain we suffer and does

not scrimp on pain management drugs.

I am hoping to find someone similar (yeah right!) in Portland when we

move. If anyone can recommend a Rheumatologist in the area to me, I

would really appreciate it!

Hi Anita,

You are in luck - I live in Beaverton, just west of Portland, and

can direct you to a great group of docs. Here's a link to their web

site http://www.nwrheumatology.org/index.html. I see Dr. Fraback,

but have heard wonderful things about all of the other docs as

well. I've found them to be thorough and compassionate (I'm one of

those frustrating cases for the doc that doesn't have a lot of

swelling, and when I'm feeling my worst my sed rate is normal).

Like many groups, it's hard to get in for the first appointment, but

once you're in they'll make sure they see you when needed.
