Guest guest
Ha Ha!, I have tried to add PCRU to the list, but unless I remember it every time I send a post, and put it there, I can't add it. I think my list is too long? Maybe I'll leave out something, like where I live.   I think a therapist may be a good idea, also a nutritionist, I need to take off some pounds. I started Vicaden today, I fell right asleep, woke up and still have the pain, it's only 3 1/2 hours, I can;t take another until 6. The entire lower quarter of my body hurts, which is all butt!! If my butt were smaller, would I have less pain???/ a ( Bobby ) Doyle, dob 12/17/29 Brecksville, Ohio, USA DX 5/1995 Interferon 9 weeks/Hydroxyurea 5 years 02/2000 to 06/2002 Gleevec trial, OHSU 06/2002 Gleevec/Trisenox Trial, OHSU 06/2003 Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial, OHSU 04/2004 Sprycel Trial, MDACC, CCR in 10 months 04/2008 XL228 Trial, U of Mich. 01/2009 PCR 5.69 04/2009 Ariad Trial AP24534 09/2009 PCR 0.017 11/2009 PCR 0.034 #840 Zavie's Zero Club 02/2010 PCRU From: hey00nanc <ncogan@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Hip Problems-Bobby Date: Wednesday, April 21, 2010, 1:44 PM  > > I am taking the tramadol for a particular problem, not arthritis. He said it is the muscle behind the gluteous maxis ( do not know how to spell those words), and I am in great pain because of it. I take tylenol for arthritis for arthritis, but not often as my dr. does not like it, he prefers Aleve, which does not to too much for me. Bobby > > a ( Bobby ) Doyle, dob 12/17/29 ____________ _________ _________ _ Hi Bobby, Aleve is a pain reliever and an anti-inflammatory, which is why it should be good for joint type pain....but no anti-inflammatory works for everyone. This is what Dr. Druker also recommends for TKI pain problems. It would probably be helpful if you could learn some specific stretches to do for your hip (and your low back, because any thightness there is probably connected). This might prevent recurrent episodes. You could ask for a referral to a physical therapist just to learn some stretches (they would pick the best ones for you to do). ALSO LADY.......I KEEP waiting to see your newest achievement in your signature... ..PCRU!!! Each time I read a note from you, I want to see that and smile and think that maybe by the time I have had cml for 15 years I will get there also! Best to you, C. Guest guest
Hi a I ask the same thing.....actually about my whole body. I find alieve works the best. On a bad day I seem to take up to 12 a day. My doctors know it and I have done this for many years and all seems to be ok, but when I double up, it helps me. But I must say, I am much large than most people. Hope you feel better Walt ________________________________ From: ROBERTA DOYLE <rcd1929@...> Sent: Wed, April 21, 2010 3:45:09 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Re: Hip Problems-Bobby Ha Ha!, I have tried to add PCRU to the list, but unless I remember it every time I send a post, and put it there, I can't add it. Guest guest
Hi Bobby: Yea I am still having pain also. Had a bad night. My other problem is when I try to stand or walk my leg just gives out on me. I need to lose a lot of weight, and before I start thinking about any type of surgery etc. I want to lose some weight to see if it helps at all. Maybe warmer weather will help all of us suffering with this Arthritic pain.    I know some people will blame everything on their Gleevec or whatever they are taking, but this is just arthritis setting into all the bones and joints. I was told years ago that I had started with Arthritis in my neck and back.
