Ha Ha!, I have tried to add PCRU to the list, but unless I remember it every

time I send a post, and put it there, I can't add it.  I think my list is too

long?  Maybe I'll leave out something, like where I live.    I think a

therapist may be a good idea, also a nutritionist, I need to take off some

pounds. I started Vicaden today, I fell right asleep, woke up and still have the

pain, it's only 3 1/2 hours, I can;t take another until 6. The entire lower

quarter of my body hurts, which is all butt!! If my butt were smaller, would I

have less pain???/

Hi Bobby,

Aleve is a pain reliever and an anti-inflammatory, which is why it should be

good for joint type pain....but no anti-inflammatory works for everyone. This is

what Dr. Druker also recommends for TKI pain problems.

It would probably be helpful if you could learn some specific stretches to do

for your hip (and your low back, because any thightness there is probably

connected). This might prevent recurrent episodes. You could ask for a referral

to a physical therapist just to learn some stretches (they would pick the best

ones for you to do).

ALSO LADY.......I KEEP waiting to see your newest achievement in your

signature... ..PCRU!!! Each time I read a note from you, I want to see that

and smile and think that maybe by the time I have had cml for 15 years I will

get there also!

Best to you,

C.

Hi a

I ask the same thing.....actually about my whole body. I find alieve works the

best. On a bad day I seem to take up to 12 a day. My doctors know it and I have

done this for many years and all seems to be ok, but when I double up, it helps

me. But I must say, I am much large than most people.

Hope you feel better

Walt

Hi Bobby:  Yea I am still having pain also.  Had a bad night.  My other

problem is when I try to stand or walk my leg just gives out on me.  I need to

lose a lot of weight, and before I start thinking about any type of surgery etc.

I want to lose some weight to see if it helps at all.  Maybe warmer weather

will help all of us suffering with this Arthritic pain.

I know some people will blame everything on their Gleevec or whatever

they are taking, but this is just arthritis setting into all the bones and

joints.  I was told years ago that I had started with Arthritis in my neck and

back.
