Sue,

I have Adobe Photo Deluxe. This is how I save a file so that I can send it

on Internet or as an e-mail attachment:

After you've edited the photo, go to " file " , then " export " then it should

give you an option to select a format to use for saving the file. Select

" jpg " . Then, export the file to wherever you save other personal

files. If you have Winword, that probably would be a file in drive " C "

called " My Documents " . Be sure to name the file so you can find it later.

After you've exported the file from Adobe to a file on your hard drive,

from your e-mail program (and they're all different) check the drop down

menus at the top until you find an option that lets you " attach " a

file. From that option, locate the file you've saved as described above,

then click OK or whatever it takes to complete the operation. That should

attach the file to your e-mail. Every program is different. I use Eudora

Pro and I also have Outlook Express and Outlook 97. The procedure I've

just described works on all three of them. I hope it works for you. Let

me know which e-mail program you use and maybe I can help you more if you

have problems. Or better yet, maybe someone more technically enlightened

than me will help.

Take care,

Geri

The only thing I can add is some programs can " save as " a .jpg. You don't

have to select " export " .

Thanks Don for the instructions on sending my picture. Will be trying again

this week. I was working on my scanner on Friday and I did something to it

and I could not get it to work. I worked Friday and Saturday and this

morning I got up and I installed it for the 50th (it seems) and it worked.

Haven't touched it since

Have a nice week.

Hi Sue,

I know how you feel! I have an old HP scanner with a pre-plug and play SCSI

card that isn't supposed to work with Win98. I always manage to get it to

work, but it can take days of tinkering before it finally works...then I'm

afraid to use it for fear that a crash will destroy the settings!

Don,

I have a UMAX and have to use a SCSI adapter, too. Windows 98 is supposed

to have the right drivers for UMAX but I had a heck of a time finding and

installing them. They seem to disable everytime I reboot the computer, but

if I turn on the scanner, then reboot, the drivers find their way

again. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the scanner software so many times

I think the CD is wearing out.

Ah, the wonders of living with a computer!

Kellie,

Thank you for sharing. You look so beautiful! I wish my hair would grow like yours. Mine is just now starting to grow.

You can see others by going to the files section of the list and looking at the pictures. You might even want to put your picture there.

Thank you Cristi ...I've been doing the lifelift for about 3 weeks and I've

lost 1/2 inch in my thighs and I'm getting toned. I have probably lost more

inches but I just measured my thigh because that's my BIG problem area. I'm

glad my thighs were not in the picture!

Thanks again, Kellie

Yeah, I am so glad that my picture worked. I am using this new

service where I send my film in and they email the pictures to view

and then send me the real pictures. It works great and is not any

more expensive than regular photoprocessing!

I'm glad you liked the pic. of the kids. We neeevvver get a good shot

of them, someone (usually ) is making a face. Don't be fooled by

this picutre though, is usually running around non-stop and

won't hold still for anything, I think we caught her on a low energy

day.

On the subject of her hair. She really did not have much until she

was about 2. I too had to do the comb over Kay! I finally brought her

in to get her haircut when she was almost 3 and the stylist cut it

into a short bob. After that it started to grow and get a little

thicker. Her hair is very fine and I can't really keep regular clips

in it so I use small ponytail holders. Pam, the small ponytail

holders would be my best advice if you want them to stay in, clips

just slide right out. She hates having her hair combed and it is a

battle every morning. My husband and I both have to work on her. Once

we get the pony in though, she doesn't mess with it, probably because

she fears the comb so much she knows I will come after her again!

What's more interesting is that at daycare she let's , (the

provider) braid her hair and do anything and she loves it, I have yet

to figure this little girl out!

I will definitely be sending more pics now that I know they will be

seen.

Hi Diane,

Interesting about and her hair. I have the same problem with Sara.

She battles everytime I come near her with a comb; yet, we took a babysitter

to the beach this summer and the babysitter was able to fix it in so many

adorable styles. Recently, I found a way that is working for now to take the

power out of the struggle--I roll play. I walk into the room and say, " Hi,

Miss Rietmann, I'm , the hairdresser and I have come to make your hair

pretty for school. " Amazingly enough, this has been working for about a

month, now--I do it with her saline nose drops, as well, by saying, " Hi Miss

Rietmann, I'm Dr. Merritt and I hear you're having some nose problems, etc.

etc. " Anyway, it's a constant challenge to stay one step ahead of her.

Hi Carmel,

I looked at the X-ray. Braydon's only five? That's seems like a pretty

serious curve for anyone, especially a five-year-old.

How did you go about getting the X-ray converted to a .jpg file? I'm keeping

a journal of Amber's surgery and recovery online for family and friends. I'd

like to include her X-rays before and after surgery. (Actually the webpage

includes all my kids.)

Hi , thanks for sharing the photo. I appreciate being able to put some

faces with the names. I didn't get a scanner for Christmas though my

daughter got a digital camera, maybe I'll be able to figure something out

with that. I know she's snapped several shots of the dog but soon I'm sure

we can get around to people!

O K everyone -

Those pictures have started something! I think it's great to have a way

to send photos back and forth. And i think all the pictures are just great!

So I guess I will have to try sending a picture of . (I have his

permission. ) This is a picture he took of himself when he was in Chicago in

November, so it's the most recent one we have. If this works, I'll try

sending my favorite later.

Happy New Year everyone!
