Guest guest
Hi tracey, thank you for your answer. At the begin the lab showed only BCR-ABL transcript. From the last 2 results now show b3a2 and b2a2 transcripts Below my results; according the international scaling Jun/09 Bcr/abl = 0,049 % Aug/09 Bcr/abl = 0,039% Nov/09 Bcr/abl (b2a2) = 0,0024 % Bcr/abl (b3a2) = 0,004% Mar/10 Bcr/abl (b2a2) = undetectable Bcr/abl (b3a2) = 0,097% References: Decrease 1 log: 10% Decrease 2 log: 1% Decrease 3 log: 0,1 % Decrease 4 log: 0,01% _____ De: [mailto: ] Em nome de traceyincanada Enviada em: segunda-feira, 5 de abril de 2010 23:08 Para: Assunto: [ ] Re: Who Can help me Hi Ciro, Do you have a previous test done from the same lab that can be used to compare or was this the first test you had and they are using their baseline to come up with the numbers? Or is it possible that the result is a 1.5 log reduction and not a 1.5 log increase? Did you always have the b2a2 transcript and now is the first time it's undetectable or is it possible that you never had that transcript before? Not everyone has both transcripts, in fact very few do but to answer your question yes it is possible to have very different values for the two. If I were you, I'd have another test as soon as possible to confirm the results from this one and if the increase is still there I'd have a mutation test to see if there's a mutation present that would respond better to one of the newer drugs. Try not to panic, there are many options out there if this does turn out to be a real increase.
