Guest guest
Well gang I am the babe in the woods compared to 40, 50 and 55 years together We have been married this year 32 years and known each other 33.5 years I met a couple the other day - who had been married when they were 16 years old - birthdays were a couple of days apart - both looked at each other - and a thunderbolt must of got them as about 3 months after meeting married - (You could not marry at this age now adays). Different world Still together 70 years later - both still live at home - with home help It is a great story of friendship, companionship and just a lovely couple (no children) They have always been each others world. More sad note: My dear friend was killed a fortnight ago in a car accident - no-one else involved - she may have had a heart attack perhaps and ran off the road and into the first obstacle being a tree. Her love affair with her husband was exactly as the example above which bought her story to you. Janette had just turned 16 years old. We were both cadets at work. She turned around and there was - all of 18 years. She audibly gasped. He went bright pink as you would do when some girl gasps at you and you are 18. She was dumb stuck in the middle of the floor - could not move. Later in the day - she said to me - I have just met the man I am going to marry. of course did not have a chance in hell. Well some months later - a blind date was arranged - could not believe the beautiful Janette ( and she was a stunner all her life), would want to go out with him. They moved in together as both sets of parents forbade marriage and 11 years later they married. Had a wonderful life together - and were married 20 years. (No children) - and they too were each others world. When people met them - they love and friendship just shone out of them. Saluting Love stories - they do happen. I miss my friend Janette.
