Guest guest
marketing@... I went to the website for Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, LA: http://www.tgmc.com/ and found this at the bottom of the page. I got a nice note back saying they'd print out my message and take it to Lottie. Guest guest
Hi All-- I got an email from Lottie and she is feeling just awful--she says it as follows--I asked her how she is doing--I hope she doesn't mind that I posted it here--but I know we are all concerned about her well-being. Keep her in your prayers and send lots of love her way. She's hurting, for sure. TIA stands for transient ischemic attack (which is sort of like a mini-stroke or reduction of blood flow to the brain temporarily due to spasming of the blood vessels leading to the brain). Vicki -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not well, my dear Vicki, I can only stay up long enough to go to the bathroom. Home health care comes to bathe me until I can get around better. I had another T.I.A. and congestive heart failure, along with renal failure just for starts. I have a lot of thinking to do, my local internist said I have too much toxicity to stay on SKI and should get out of it while I have the chance. He wants me to go to the new oncologist I got a couple of months ago, but then I will have to go where he practices, he doesn't have privileges here. The hospitals are so damned envious of eath other and I have to think of where this is all going to place me. If I stop going to MDACC, I have to get out of the trials, so there will be the high costs of Tasigna to consider. I didn't get to see my doctor, he was out of the country and things didn't go well, I just let them know I was not happy with the statis quo. With my platelets at 25, I should not have to wait another 2 weeks to go back to MDACC. I have been off SKI for over 3 weeks and they lied to me and said they talked to MDACC every day. My nurse there said that was a lie and I caught him in a few because he couldn't tell me the name of anyone he spoke to. I can't stay up later, so will be in touch. Thanks for the card and all the warm prayers. xoxoxox Lottie > > > > > > > > Hi everyone, it sure is dull around here without Lottie.
