Guest guest
Teeth Extractions Jackie My specialist is not happy about any teeth extractions without a management Plan between him and the dentist. Any teeth fillings that I need - I have to have antibiotics at least 2 weeks in advance and a week after at a low strength. For extractions - there could be some issues I would discuss with your specialist well before your teeth issues become a real problem such as absesses etc and have a share care plan between your dentist and specialist to find out all the risks etc. It may mean a day bed in hospital perhaps ? Guest guest
Just saw this thread and had to giggle to myself about taking teeth out. I had 3 wisdom teeth removed last week well, a week ago last Monday. I still have bruising all along my jawline. My Oral surgeon said I bled a lot during surgery and I bled for about 5 hours after. Changing out the gauze pads every 30 minutes (give or take). I was swollen like a chipmunk for 5 days. Which is somewhat normal. I was on pain pill for 7 days and 10 days of Amoxicillin. I am on Spyrcel 100mg daily. I have talked to 50+ people over the last week and a half and no one had ever seen bruising as back as this. The bruising went from my jawline around my face and down to the top of my breasts. The oral surgeon told me this happen as the blood settle in the tissue space. I am not sure if the meds were the cause but I have had teeth pulled, root canal before, and never had experienced anything like this. I am not telling people to alarm them, just talk to your doctor and be aware and take precautions as they pertain to you. My INR was 1.0 and 11.9 which is normal so I have to contribute it to the Spyrcel? Don't know but glad its over! Minus the back of my mouth/teeth which are still sore when I chew and wake up, I guess from clenching all night.
