Guest guest
, Those are both the same two books I got. The New Arthritis Breakthrough by Henry Scammell includes the work done by Dr. Brown -The Road Back - who is now deceased. He helped many people with autoimmune diseases (80% of them got improvement) and all his work kept being pushed aside due to the popularity of prednisone coming out at the same time. Prednisone is okay in small doses for a little while but is very detrimental in larger doses. It leads to hip replacement, brittle bones, cataracts, moon face, weight gain, mood swings, just to name a few. I was determined to get off prednisone. Let me warn you if you go the antibiotic route that you must have your mind set on it for the long haul. You sort of get worse before you get better!!! He even suggest to use low dose of prednisone if necessary. But following a diet (diet in Infection Connection is strenuous but you can modify a bit) helps it not be too bad. After 6 months, I could see much improvement. Of course, the longer you have had the disease, the longer it can take for antibiotics to work. My reason for doing this was I knew each time I was on antibiotics, for whatever reason, that I felt better. I truly believe it is an infection thing going on... Good luck to you! I've seen two that look interesting.......THE NEW ARTHRITIS BREAKTHROUGH and RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS: THE INFECTION CONNECTION. Also, is there a good online marketplace for arthritis items? I want to get some of those things they use at salons. They're like electric blankets for your hands. Anyone have any good websites for such things?> > After trying many drugs, I read a book about antibiotic therapy and decided to go that route. Guest guest
i think my daughter got my mit warmers at her local drug store. they also had the wax/paraphene heaters at some of the local drug stores and i think even Wallmart had some once. not sure. haven't checked the net yet. i would kind of like some foot warmers!! i have been going to make some cayene salvve/moistureizer for my feet but just haven't taken time to do so. i'll try to do that and let you know if it helps me or not. use a cream of Shea butter i got a the 'body shop'cwith eucalyptus etc and it is nice to give the feet a good massage and then put on warm socks. just feels good. the massage, working the foot like reflexology, really helps me. don't cure it but feels better. givs them better circulation. wishing you well love.. granny le. p.s. i do make my own herbal things but only for myself and if my children want some, i give some to them. ----- Original Message ----- From: wendyhollander Also, is there a good online marketplace for arthritis items?
