Guest guest
I'm hoping for some insight, please! My son has been complaining of severe pain in his left shoulder blade since Thursday... I brought him into Children's Hospital ER for evaluation that night since he normally has a very high tolerence for pain, and this pain was causing him not to use the whol arm and brought him to screaming tears if I touched it. He does not believe that he injured it in any way, and he has a history of wierd viral joint infections in his past (although they usually hit his hip or knee)...He has had no fever, but has been on Motrin round the clock since Thursday so I'm paranoid that it could be hidden....He rates his pain between an 8 and 9 out of 10, and I explained to the doctors that unlike most kids, he has a frame of reference (his 10 is a meningitis headache). So the ER doctors ruled our dislocation, and x-rays and bloodwork were all normal according to them, although I asked for a copy of the blood work and it says that his white count is 14,000 (flagged High), and his ANC was over 10,000 (also flagged High). Bear in mind that my kids usually run at least moderately neutropenic (sometimes below 200) and I've never seen an ANC above 5000 in . They did page immunology and talked to one of the fellows (our immuno was not on page and was also not available yesterday when I tried to call his office myself). They had initially suspected an infection in the bone and said that even if the blood came back normal they would order a bone scan for the morning. Then after talking to immunology it was decided not to do that since he has had very few bacterial breakthroughs while on IVIG or SubQ... although he has recently gained weight and has not changed dosage in a year... We were advised to bring him in again if it worsened, or if it was not better by Monday. We were given an Rx for Tylenol with Codeine and sent home. So, you know the drill.... I'm still worried. He refuses the Codeine because even if I give a smaller dose on a full stomach he projectile vomits all over the house, and he is still in a huge amount of pain even if I touch the area feather-light.... It is not warm to touch, or discolored in any way. It just hurts him to the point of screaming if he moves it even the slightest... he won't even lean back on a soft cushion. OK, so my questions... Am I crazy to still be worried about infection? How high are the white and ANC counts considered... are they really normal? Even though he is no worse, would you still wait until Monday to be seen? If they have ruled out dislocation, a fracture, or damage to the muscle, and do not suspect infection, what the heck else could it be??? Any thoughts appreciated! Guest guest
HI, I have a few questions today. I want to make a long lasting perfume, for myself. I am going to put it in a bottle that does not have a spray top. What would be the best ingredients to use? I am also confused about, whether to use some sort of alcohol or not? Do I need to use alcohol? If so, which one? I obviously never made perfume before, so I am brand spanking new to this, and need all the help and advice I can get. I googled it, but ended up being confused about it, so I am asking the experienced people here. Thanks for all your help and advice ;-) Hi Go to the files as there is a wealth of information.. if you want a longer lasting perfume then I would suggest that you increase your base notes. Plus I would go for an oil rather than and alcohol carrier as it will sit on your skin longer.hope this helpsJanitaJanita Haan custom natural perfumeshttp://www.janitahaan.com
