You are so right, Lottie--

And not only that, but the C difficile is called that because it is very

difficult to isolate, and difficult to cure. It puts off spores. The supplement

Saccharomyces boulardii is another fungus that fights the C difficile and

wins--and repopulates your gut with friendly flora and bacteria. A probiotic is

good for gut health as is fiber. We should all be on a good fiber supplement

and a probiotic. This helps both constipation and diarrhea--and with that side

effect being prominent with Gleevec, it can help many of us to feel better.

Van Vorous has a great website where you can get Acacia fiber--a

water-soluble fiber that has few side-effects and is clear, dissoves in water

fully, does not clump, can be mixed in food--and it works great. Everybody with

bowel issues needs to give fiber and probiotics a try.

Hugs to everyone. Take care in the heat--stay hydrated and stay cool. A cool

washcloth on the head, sitting in front of a fan does wonders. For you and your

pets! Watch where the dog goes to stay cool and go there, too. Usually on the

kitchen floor. I am always wondering if I would get laughed at for lying down

there myself---Ha!?

It actually took me a year to get over it. Now when they say " antibiotics " , I

tell them to hold their horses, is this really necessary. The visiting nurse

told me today to be sure and call her if I get green mucous and I asked what she

would do and she said she would call the doctor for an antibiotic and I told her

she wouldn't be hearing from me for that. They want to give you an antibiotic

even for a virus and that is useless. The overuse of them has caused the

superbugs and now there are new strains that do not respond to the newer drugs

that were developed to combat them. We have just dug a hole for ourselves over

this issue and I don't see the medical community intervening to stop the runaway

train.
