Hi,

We've been using Zovirax and OLE with good results (more

language, comprehension, relatedness), and doing little in the way of a

yeast protocol -- just No-Fenol, pretty much, since my son can't take

GSE, because he takes Zoloft, and I've been leery of some other

anti-fungals, since they are high in phenols. I want to avoid

prescription anti-fungals. Well, the moment of truth has come: up on

his toes again, distended stomach, visual stims, sleep more disturbed,

rage episodes, a very itchy rash that looks like goose flesh with

small white heads, and something similar to athlete's foot. The new

rash looks quite different from the mosquito bite looking rash that

he's had for the last few weeks and which doesn't itch. So I'm

assuming this is yeast (someone tell me if this sounds off.)I need to

do something fast, both because my son is miserable, but also because

the aggressions are not so easy to handle in a 14 year old, and the

psychopharmacologist would prefer I just drop the whole anti-viral

thing rather than go up on the risperdal.

Here is my tentative plan: 4 days of wild oregano, alternating with 4

days of garlic, both backed up with biotin, and adding a pro-biotic

(which has to be GFCF -- I'm thinking either Natren Healthy Start or

Kyo-dophilus.)

Questions: If I want to alternate anti-fungals are oregano and garlic

sufficient? What is an appropriate dose of each for someone weighing

130 lbs? What is an appropriate biotin dose? Finally, how often can

one take activated charcoal? I gave Terry 250 mg. this morning, and he

had a better day than he has had in a week (less itching, was able to

nap and catch up on the sleep he's missed, easier going, happier, no

rage.)While I don't plan to do the charcoal all the time, I would like

to know how often one can fall back on it if necessary. I also gave

him one drop of oregano this morning, and one tonight. How many times

a day should one dose? And is this whole yeast protocol something one

just does perpetually? I seem to remember seeing (on this or another

list) someone saying they only do the yeast protocol for only part of

the month, but now I can't find the post.

Thanks in advance.

B.
