Guest guest
Because I'm impacted by what you wrote is what I meant. (by not being alone) cancer Ok, I now know I have adenocarcinoma. Don't have the exact type yet. They only have preliminary results. Lung and liver is all I know so far, don't know how bad, but bottom portion of right lung. RSD is getting worse already. They don't know if I can do hyperbarics with chemo. Can deep sea divers continue to do that when they have lung cancer? I will have to find out. I will have to have the fluid drained from my pleural cavity again. Probably within 2-4 weeks. Yuck! Last time was 1.3 liters of fluid. Back still hurts. Still coughing sometimes from the lung expanding again. The cold air almost did me in today and yesterday. Hurts to cough. Friday I do a PET scan of the chest and abdomen, Sat. I do an MRI of the brain. Tuesday P.M. my oncologist is back from his trip and the test results will all be in. Chemo will probably start before the end of the month. Don't know exact type yet. Will know a lot more Tues. late afternoon. Don't see him until 4:45 P.M. and probably won't be home until after 7 P.M. Sounds like I have a busy schedule coming up. Continue those prayers, please. Guest guest
Lynda, first of all I am so sorry. It sounds like it is treatable, is this correct? Is the cancer causing the fluid to continue to build up on your lung? It is so bitter cold right now. I hope you can stay inside and keep warm. If you need anything, I am near by. Guest guest
Lynn, As of now they think it is treatable. Unless something changes in the final results, I will start chemo soon. I dread doing it again. Been there, done that. It is cold, made me cough and cough. I tried to keep a scarf across my mouth and nose. That helped. I plan to mostly stay home tomorrow. I am so tired, I just need lots of rest. And I am weak, from the thoracentesis (removing fluid from the lung). My back was black and blue but it is fading already. It is very sore still. It is hard to sit back in a chair or lie on my back. Once the tests are done and we have a routine, I think it will be easier. It is never easy. I hope to be able to get myself to chemo and back without any problems. Generally it is days later when you really feel the effects, so I can plan to be home. I remember last time it was four days later and I just went to bed and pulled the covers over my head and did not want anyone around. Sounds horrible. They tell me it won't be that bad this time. I have a really sensitive system, so we will see. Thanks for the offer. I am not sure what anyone can do to help. Last time I was all alone, no one living with me and no help. At least I am not all alone this time. No internet either. 18 years ago this month when I had breast cancer. Lynda At 09:27 PM 1/16/2008, you wrote: >Lynda, first of all I am so sorry. Guest guest
in Ohio, There were back up doctors, and I had good care. It just takes time for the test results. I cannot imagine going through this either. I am going to try to keep busy so I don't think. I actually got a couple of sleeping pills because I am not sleeping. I think the doctor could tell that by looking at me. He told me to take a sleeping pill and get some rest before I really got sick. I am a tough cookie, so I know I will make it. I am sure the prayers help. Lynda At 10:07 PM 1/16/2008, you wrote: >I know I am going to pray for you. I cant imagine going through >that. Guest guest
Lynda, Is there any option to do some natural treatment for cancer this time instead of the chemo, such as Gerson's therapy? I know you are not looking forward to that toxic chemo. Patty > > > > > > > > Ok, I now know I have adenocarcinoma. Don't have the exact type > > > > yet. They only have preliminary results. Guest guest
Lynda, I'm so sorry to hear of your cancer. I would think it a very hard thing to weather, and you sound amazingly strong about it. I am sending you large flying armies of Superhero Cancer-Fighters, who will descend and beat the #% & *! out of those cancer cells and make sure they never come back.
