Guest guest
Thanks for this information. As for your Dad, hope it is helping him. For myself, I took MMS in capsules and it went so much better. Thanks again Orrilia Canada Toolbar : Search from anywhere on the web and bookmark your favourite sites. Download it now! Guest guest
Dad passed away a year ago. I actually didn't give him the MMS long as he was afraid it would interfere with his leukemia medicine. But he did try it for me, but didn't like the taste, and since at his 6'2", 240 pounds, I figure if he couldn't even tolerate 2 drops it, and at his age--80, it just wasn't worth trying to get him up to full dose. He felt really good, except when he took the MMS, so I just didn't want to have him feeling miserable all the time. He'd been through plenty at that point, and I was happy for the days he felt good. But thank you for your kind words. Samala, -------Original Message------- Thanks for this information. As for your Dad, hope it is helping him. Guest guest
> > Bee, > > I'm curious to know that if someone has had cancer and received chemo for it. Is there a chance that the diet could help or is the immune system damaged forever? Just wanting to help a friend...but I don't want to say anything unless I know there is some hope. Thanks so much, > Gail (Curlygirl) > @@ Hi Gail, Yes, this diet's particular purpose actually is to strengthen the immune system. And yes , I would say it would be fair to say that this diet would help your friend. Chemo does attack and damage the immune system. However, pending on variables not everyone dies from using Chemo. Thus, some go on and their immune system does slowly recover. So the diet would support the immune system with the necessary nutrients, it sorely needs to rebuild. However, the more sessions of chemotherapy one does, the more the damage. Therefore, its not in one's best interest to use this approach to Cancer. Unless the Chemo is cultured and calibrated to that person's unique chemical make-up and particular Cancer. Which is rarely done. Gail, there is hope, of course! In general there is almost always hope. Everyone has a set " birthdate " , however, nobody has a set " expiration date " . That is just Doctors trying to play God and imposing their ignorance, that dole out these scare tactics! Vitamin C intravenous might be a therapy your friend may wish to also implement. This therapy has been successful treating Cancer for decades. This can be administered by regular Doctors and Orthomolecular Physicians as well. Here is the directory for Orthomolecular Physicians below. She finished this program awhile ago, and is doing great, but continues to eat healthy foods, avoids toxins, etc. She wrote about it on this group many times and is confident she'll never have cancer again. However, like Ed suggested your friend should get intravenous vitamin C treatments as soon as possible, and at the same time start on this program. My sister-in-law had uterine cancer and after a hysterectomy they wanted to do chemo treatments. Instead she got intravenous vitamin C. After finishing it she got re-checked by her doctor and there was no cancer. Bee
Guest guest
Cancer Deaths Impact Whole World in Costs " Compared to the economic impact of premature death and disability of all causes of death, cancer has the greatest cost worldwide. These findings were recently published in a report from the American Cancer Society and the LIVESTRONG organization. " Cancer care costs are a financial burden to patients, their families, and society as a whole. In 2006 medical expenses from cancer care in the United States were an estimated $104.1 billion. As the population ages, costs are expected to continue to increase as cancer prevalence rises. In addition, the development of expensive, targeted treatment strategies that are becoming the standard of care will most likely increase cancer costs. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) between 2004 and 2030, global cancer deaths will increase from 7.4 million to 11.8 million and cancer will be the leading cause of death this year followed by heart disease and stroke. " http://www.caring4cancer.com/go/cancer/news?NewsItemId=45091 ____________________________________ Inherited Mutations " Among women with a BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutation, prophylactic mastectomy (preventive removal of the breasts) reduces the risk of getting breast cancer. Prophylactic salpingo-oophorectomy (preventive removal of the fallopian tubes and ovaries) reduces the risk both breast and ovarian cancer. These results were published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. " http://www.caring4cancer.com/go/cancer/news?NewsItemId=45088 _________________________________ " Researchers reviewed almost 150 studies to evaluate how much social relationships contribute to longevity. They found that stronger social relationships were associated with a reduced risk of death of 50%. The reduced risk was present regardless of gender, age, cause of death, and length of follow-up. The nature of social relationships was also important, with broader social connections having a stronger influence than relationships within the home (whether an individual lived alone or with others). " http://www.caring4cancer.com/go/cancer/news?NewsItemId=45057 ____________________________ SPRYCEL USED IN TREATMENT OF PH + ALL " The initial report of a Phase II study evaluating Sprycel® (dasatinib) combined with chemotherapy for the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) indicates that 94% of patients achieve a complete remission. These findings were recently published in the journal Blood. Adult ALL is a malignant disease or cancer of the blood characterized by the rapid uncontrolled growth of abnormal, immature white blood cells known as lymphoblasts. There are approximately 5,000 new cases of adult ALL each year in the United States, with approximately 1,500 deaths. Up to 40% of adults with ALL have Ph+ ALL. Adults with Ph+ ALL usually receive Gleevec® (imatinib) in the induction regimen. Below is the list, which includes 19 common chemicals, plus one environmental condition: a.. Lead and lead compounds,Indium phosphide b.. Cobalt with tungsten carbide, tanium dioxide, Welding fumes c.. Refractory ceramic fibers, Diesel exhaust, Carbon black d.. Styrene-7, 8-oxide, and styrene, Propylene oxide, Formaldehyde e.. Acetaldehyde, Dichloromethane, methylene chloride (DCM) f.. Trichloroethylene (TCE), Tetrachloroethylene (perc, tetra, PCE) g.. Chloroform, Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) h.. Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), Atrazine, Shift work http://www.caring4cancer.com/go/cancer/news?NewsItemId=45036 _______________________________ NEW RECOMMENDED DOSE OF VITAMIN D FOR THE ELDERLY The objective of the new position statement was to make vitamin D recommendations for older men and women from an evidence-based perspective. The best indicator of vitamin D levels is the serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD), which is determined by sun exposure and vitamin D intake. Blood levels of vitamin D decline with age; however, individuals have been shown to respond to vitamin D supplementation regardless of age. http://www.caring4cancer.com/go/cancer/news?NewsItemId=45032 _________________________ FYI, Lottie Duthu

Guest guest
> > Thank you so much, Bee. I will let her know about the Vit.C IV. She has been very sick and unable to keep down much food. She has been diagnosed with stage 4. It is in her left lung, lymph system and liver. They give her 6-9 mos. I hope I can get to her and help her heal before then. +++Hi Margaret, Remember that even Vitamin C IVs cannot save everyone. My friend, whose doctor gave her the IVs in the hospital, eventually couldn't handle them since her kidneys also had cancer. The end was very sad. But your sister might have a chance, but no one knows until she gets the IVs and changes her diet, takes supplements, etc. Bee
