Guest guest
Right on, Sue. No one knows how we feel. Sometimes we don't know what our members are feeling as some have not experienced it. Some have a better time with their drug and others struggle. Family is there for you, but t hey don't understand the disease like you do. When I was in CCR, Jimmy got so excited, he was telling everyone I was in complete remission. I talked to my daughter in law the other day and told her I was going back for another trial and she said she thought I was in remission. They also confuse remission with " cure " . He doesn't remember all the terms and acronyms we use and I have to explain it to him several times. There is so much to know, its hard for us to remember everything. Even doctors who practice another discipline don't know. When they ask how I am doing with my CML and I start to tell them, they tell me I am over their heads. I really don't want them to know, I want them to stick with what they know best. LOL I sometimes meet someone who is undergoing chemo treatment and they cannot tell you what they are on. Now I don't see that going on in this group, but we do have some newcomers who need help and we can all recognize that signal because we have all been there, too.
