Guest guest
I do, but I'm in a trial. :-) b [ ] PCR and FISH Test at the same time  Hi: I am still with the new Oncologist, and have not found a new one yet. He is getting me confused a bit. I have been having my PCR testing every 6 months with my old Oncologist who retired. He has been happy with my results. Now the new doctor is doing my test for the first time, and he wants a FISH along with the PCR. I have not had a FISH test since we started doing the PCR's. Does anyone else get both? A. But it is standard with the cml specialists to get a pcr every 3 months, to catch any changes early.....with this alone, most of them are satisfied. C. Ask this doctor to explain why he is doing some things and see what he says (and what he knows).
Guest guest
No, I haven't had a fish test or BMA since The QPCR test was introduced. At my last visit with the VA they had an intern ONC review my progress and he became so upset about not following protocol by having them that he went to a senior ONC to get support. I tried to explain to him that I was not in a test group that required the extra testing he just couldn't understand the situtation. Fortunately the Senior ONC came in and asked if I was happy with my primary ONC's treatment and I said yes. He chose to release me for the same six months that my Primary ONC was testing on.
