Guest guest
I spoke to Jackie tonight and she is very upbeat. She understands what she is facing and is ready to start her battle with Lukie. I am hoping to be able to see her next week. I will be leaving to go to MDACC to start the tests to see if I am eligible for this trial. Please hold all my emails until I return. I'll check in when I get back, but if I get in, I will be making the trip to Houston every week for a while and then once a month. I am so weary of this, getting off one trial to get into another. It's like a vicious cycle. Here is the information about the DCC 2036 trial: http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT00827138 Here is the information about the Ariad trial: http://www.ariad.com/wt/tertiarypage/AP24534 FYI, Lottie Duthu
Guest guest
Hi - Jackie has a Care Page through MD . You have to register with them to be able to see her page. You can find the main website here: http://www.carepages.com/ Pat in Phoenix > Hi Lottie, > I asked Jackie if she has a CaringBridge page and she wrote that she did, with just her name.....but I cannot figure out how to find it? > Do you know or can you figure it out.....or maybe someone else knows how to find her page and can post the full link to it. > > I would like to follow her progress and send her some support. > C. >

Guest guest
Yes Lottie, please tell her that I am praying for her and to keep her great attitude. She is a very encouraging person to others who are struggling with decisions and treatments. From: Lottie Duthu <lotajam@...> Subject: [ ] Jackie Schneider " CML " < > Date: Saturday, September 25, 2010, 11:23 PM  I have an email from Jackie Schneider. She is having trouble with her vision. The chemo caused her to have blurry vision. She also lost her taste buds, so she doesn't feel like eating anything. When I hear anything, I will post it, but she hasn't had the transplant just yet. She is still maintaining her good and positive attitude. Can I tell her if you are praying for her? I will list your names to her, I know she would like that from the group, so I can forward your good wishes if you so desire. Guest guest
Sure thing, Lottie, I pray for all my CML friends around the world every night, but the BMTers top the prayer list. bobby a ( Bobby ) Doyle, dob 12/17/29 DX 5/1995 Interferon 9 weeks/Hydroxyurea 5 years 02/2000 to 06/2002 Gleevec trial, OHSU 06/2002 Gleevec/Trisenox Trial, OHSU 06/2003 Gleevec/Zarnestra Trial, OHSU 04/2004 Sprycel Trial, MDACC, CCR in 10 months 04/2008 XL228 Trial, U of Mich. 01/2009 PCR 5.69 04/2009 Ariad Trial AP24534 09/2009 PCR 0.01 11/2009 PCR 0.034 02/2010 PCRU #840 Zavie's Zero Club From: Lottie Duthu <lotajam@...> Subject: [ ] Jackie Schneider " CML " < > Date: Saturday, September 25, 2010, 11:23 PM Â I have an email from Jackie Schneider. Guest guest
I cannot seem to connect to Jackie's site either Lottie, must be my lack of knowledge??? To me it seems like such a short time that she started chemo, hard to believe she has already been transplanted. I'm sure it's like a life time to her though, she is a very brave and courageous woman.
