Sierra,

I'm not familiar with milk thistle, but I just looked it up at

www.drugdigest.org. (That's a good site to use to look up lots of

drugs, herbs, and interactions). They mentioned the benefits to the

liver, but apparently it also has some estrogen like actions, so

people with certain conditions shouldn't take it.

Check out the information, and then ask your doctor. Just because

it's natural doesn't mean that it's safe............

i have collected a lot of articles on milk thistle and they all claim it is good too keep liver de-toxed among other things. i have not used it yet. i do use a bit of a specie of thistle in a tea occasionally. only reason i haven't used it yet is because there are no bulk herb stores in my area and haven't had a formula that warrants buying a whole pound of it. i may get some next time i order herbs, though. if you would like a copy of the articles, i can send them to you personally if you like.

Sierra,

I used milk thistle after liver enzymes shot up from methotrexate and

got things back to normal in a hurry. I also used milk thistle 3 times a

day for a while after getting off meds to help my liver...very good thing...
