Guest guest
Lottie, You are so right! I had to go into the doctor yesterday for shingles on my forehead. I had received a " shingle shot " earlier this year. When I asked the doc about it she said my entire immune system has been compromised and this may be something I will have to deal with again and again. I am in total molecular remission, but at what costs that I don't even know yet!!???? Love and Blessings and great to have you back!! Jo-Dee From: Vicki <vickistu@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Nature's cancer cure? Date: Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 3:57 AM  Dear Lottie--we are so glad you are back and in fighting form! You are so right--most cancer drugs are toxic in the extreme--it would be interesting to know exactly what havoc they are wreaking inside our bodies as we take them--even as they cure our disease or put it into remission, what ELSE are they doing? I am highly suspicious just based on the symptoms I constantly have--weird things like skin bumps and rashes, hair loss, diarrhea and even fatigue. Once again, so glad you are back, dear. Take care and hold that thought--health and blessings to you! Big Hugs, Vicki > > Hi folks, I ran across this article through a link and it is entitled " Cancer's Natural Enemy " . > Well the title garnered my interest. I found it very interesting, as I'm sure a lot of you, especially naturalists, will as well. I noted that there is advertising for the book and probably for the product as well because it is not available here, even though it has been approved by the FDA for use in other countries. I will let you be the judge, it's just information I am passing on to any interested party. Check it out, if it's not for you, delete it, but you may want to delve further into this drug. It's from the common oleander plant which grows abundantly here. Every part of the plant is poisonous, but if you examine the drugs in cancer treatments, they are toxic enough to warrant the workers and nurses to wear masks and gloves. > > As an aside, the castor plant is also very toxic, yet we take castor oil orally. In my own case, I was doubled over with stomach pain, was in the hospital and tests showed an obstruction in the small bowel. Nothing helped. I asked my doctor what he thought about castor oil and he said it couldn't hurt, so I took a dose. It took over 24 hours and voila, the obstruction vanished, along with the pain caused by the obstruction. Go figure. As you can see, I am posting again after a long absence, so I don't dismiss the powerful effects this drug could have, but I would want to take it under the advice of a doctor. > > I have been off SKI and had no meds since April. My platelets are now over 700,000, after dropping to an all time low of 25,000. I just spoke to Novartis and they are shipping an emergency supply of Tasigna and I should have it by Thursday. The personnel over there have been extremely nice about this and I let them know how much I appreciate it. > Their hotline number is 866-884-5906, FYI. > > Stay fit and spread the joy, > Lottie Duthu > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi , My family doctor suggested it and my oncologist seconded it because I had shingles twice before. When they started on Monday morning I knew what was happening and called my family doctor right away. When I went in I was like, " why did I get a shot if this is gonna happen anyway? " She nicely informed me that my immune system is permanently impaired and this is something I may have to deal with the rest of my life. My dear daughter, a nurse, tells me. . . " Mom, you are not normal any more!! " No matter how good my numbers are or how GREAT I feel, I AM DIFFERENT now. This is my take. All any of us can do is take care of ourselves the best we can and follow the directions of our health care providers but most importantly, PRAY THAT GOD WATCHES OVER US EACH AND EVERY DAY!! Make the best of all the blessings this dis-ease has provided to us. Hi Jo-Dee: Its so weird that shingles was mentioned. A friend of mine just called me last week to ask me about getting the vaccine for shingles. She asked me if I got one, and it made me look into it. I read that people with Leukemia should not get the shot. I have not asked my doctor about it. Did your Oncologist suggest it or a primary doctor. I still have not gotten a definite answer on it. "    Novartis also said that if you have any doubts about taking other medicines with gleevec to call their pharmacy. I have done this on a couple of occasions when I felt uneasy ab out something prescribed for me. They can tell you in a minute if it is okay to take another medicine with gleevec. Our local pharmacist in Safeway also double chec ks when I ask her to, but I think Novartis are obviously the experts. Guest guest
Jo-Dee, Can you describe for me what shingles are. I have never had them, and was just wondering what kind of symptoms are you having?
