Guest guest
Boy, , that is a tough one. With the things are these days, ins companies bite those with implants, but the other side of it is, they say implants dont cause problems.... Double edged sword. I think perhaps in the long run, it is best they dont know about the implants. Diagnoses follow you like the plague, and when you have a trail of them, you are marked for life. I would get some more of the girls opinions. For me, I already have so much going on, I am gonna have them file for my surgery. it will also be " medical and pathological " proof implants cause a domino effect on your health. Guest guest
~ If your breast have alot of pain, then pain is the reason for removal, and pain is a coverable medical problem. You need not list any other medical problem to have removal of something that is causing you lots of pain ! Love DedeStart the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year. Guest guest
When I had to fill out papers to get insurance coverage while working, I did answer yes to having previously had implants, however ~ I also added to the yes answer, that the FDA, doctors, and pharmaceutical companies and all the studies prove implants do NOT cause medical problems. There was no argument and I was covered ! Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.

Guest guest
, Dr. Feng should be able to help you, if you are covered. Explant, without replacement is covered by some companies. I think the insurance companies have figured out it's cheaper to remove implants than to keep women sick. Pain is one of the "medically necessary" reasons . . . Remember that! . . . All these other problems just don't exist! If you have a group policy through work, your insurance shouldn't be affected. . . Where the problem will show up is if/when you need to arrange private coverage. If you don't see that happening anytime in the near term, say 5-10 years, I'd count on the health care system being overhauled by then, or having a "new" history of good health. Patty was able to get insurance some years after being explanted. A friend worked for a major insurance company. Years ago she told me that the only two things that resulted in automatic refusal was morbid obesity and a history of implants. . . . From what I hear, the list is much longer now. Guest guest
, That's a tough one, but your call.... I can tell you that I had insurance coverage through my husband's employer when I got my explant and it was covered. It surprised me, but I took that as God's blessing. So, it's on my record. When we opened our own business, we had cobra coverage for 18 months and then we had to find our own insurance coverage for ourselves and our employees. So far, I have not had any issues with coverage because we've been able to buy a group plan. But I do know that my neighbor is an insurance agent and told me that women with implants have trouble getting coverage. So, if you have coverage now, it probably won't affect it. If you need to get coverage in the future, on a group plan it won't matter. But if you have to get coverage individually, it may be a problem. I think the thing that has made a difference for me is that I did not rack up thousands of dollars in medical care costs. I was quick to cut the cord with MD's, and basically have not sought their care. If I had bounced from doctor to doctor and created a medical file a foot thick, I think it would be a different story. Only you know what your future may hold with insurance coverage. As long as you are working where you can get on a group plan, it probably won't be an issue. Guest guest
Yes, and they ended up paying for 5 surgeries to remove all the tumors and crap caused by the implants ! along with 3 MRI's and 5 x-rays, and I had cervical cancer in the middle of it all, so I was happy....They did jack up the price of my coverage by 300 a month after the cancer tho. Creeps, but anyway, I made it thru all that. Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year.

Guest guest
I tell ya, I have been thru alot of torture with the beginning being silicone implants ! ! and a massive rupture ! ! I was totally healthy til I got them. I was 36 when I got them, and a single mom of 2, very active, and rarely ill. The silicone spill triggered a pandora's box and I have jumped hurdles ever since. But I still maintain that I will overcome this all eventually. I imagine I will have to be careful, and always treat my body with love and respect, and feed it what it needs to properly maintain health, but my goal is to be able to go into every doctors office that told me I was dieing and show them just how wrong they were ! Guest guest
, One thing, if they ever ask you if you had implants, are you going to lie? Be careful with not telling. If you don't think they will ever ask, then I think it would be wise to pay cash and not submit. Many people do that with fender-benders on their cars and never turn it in. Guest guest
Hi Dede, Thanks for the advice. It is going to be very hard to prove that they are related unless they find mold or something in them. The only reason i am going to Dr Feng is because she is the one doctor that does believe this due to so many woman complaining but as far as blood tests or other tests go, there is nothing there. I am showing symptoms but nothing horrible like yourself and other women have. I am having this done now to hopefully avoid serious health problems. When i talked to my insurance company, anonymously, they stated that if they decide it was medically necessary but Im thinking that they will require more proof then just a doctor saying she was showing signs of immune disorders due to implants. How are you doing today? > > Boy, , that is a tough one. Guest guest
That is exactly what i wanted to hear so thank you for that.!..lol I have great insurance through my company so i did not think it would be a problem but my husband and son are also covered through me so i would not want to them to be penalized for this. I will talk to Dr Feng though and see what she has to say. During my many attempts to find a local doctor to do the total capsulectomy i did get a letter from one doctor who summarized my visit and included my complaint of pain so that may help as well. Thank you for your help. > > , > > Dr. Feng should be able to help you, if you are covered. Explant, without replacement is covered by some companies. Guest guest
, PAIN makes removing breast implants medically necessary! They're not likely to accept that you are sick because of implants . . . Dr. Feng knows you are . . . but because of filthy politics, the insurance companies don't have to accept that. Guest guest
well thats the tough part. When i enroll for my coverage every year through work they never ask about health issues we just have to select what plan we want so i would be inclined to think that this would not be an issue however i would hate to assume that and have it come back and bite me. > > >Boy, , that is a tough one.
