Guest guest
no. sorry the ALA is 50mg not 100mg. do you think this is still too much? 12.5 mg ALA, 12.5 DMSA ? can I lower after already giving him one dose at this amount. thanks again.. > > > > > > The DMSA is 25 mg can I just half that and use 1/4 tab of the 100 mg ALA. > > Does it have to be exact measurements? Guest guest
You can buy 25mg ALA from Kirkman. Makes it a little easier. Then you could just start with a 1/2 capsule of both and see how he tolerates that. Meanwhile, that would be an 1/8 of a 100mg cap. Dump it out and make 8 piles. Do the best you can and that is good enough. Its quite a bit of ALA to start with. AC is 1/8 - 1/2 mg per pound. that would be between 6 mg and 28mgs. We 1/4 50 mg tablets of ALA. I started at the high end with my son (22mgs of DMSA and ALA) who had already been taking that much with bad protocol and it was to much for him. Guest guest
I wouldn't lower in middle of chelation. Either stick with it or end round early I think has been consensus on this board. My Son seems to tolerate 12.5mg of both fine he is 40# it just depends on the kid. Guest guest
Do you think if you went up a weightclass, possibly you could eat more liberally, start to feel better and your training would improve as well as your T level. Is this a possibility? You're 16? Possibly you put on too much muscle and can no longer support current weight sucessfully. > > a healthy 130 lb state wrestling weight with 8% body fat dropping to 115 lbs and regaining it four months later. > > > > > ________________________________ > From: Marc Michaud <MisterX225@...> > > Sent: Wed, November 4, 2009 5:02:51 PM > Subject: Re: Quick question > >  > > How much starvation? > Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile > > Quick question > > In any way can starvation alter genes permanently. > Say a starvation over a period of three months, is there any way it can change one's genetic make up i.e. alter their DNA? > >

I'd doubt genetic changes. Though various genes and other systems get turned on and off by such stress. If you've really starved your body can set up for the likelihood it will happen again and alter some systems.
Guest guest
Well I've gained the weight now, it's the off season and I weigh 130 but recently I havn't been feeling right. Low testosterone and growth hormone too, plus low free t3 which is a clear sign of starvation. I wonder if I'm lacking in my diet. ________________________________ From: jim <virtuosa150@...> Sent: Wed, November 4, 2009 7:25:42 PM Subject: Re: Quick question  Do you think if you went up a weightclass, possibly you could eat more liberally, start to feel better and your training would improve as well as your T level. Guest guest
I am not saying eating a healthy diet is not good it is that he is just a kid and they can eat all kinds of junk and not hurt them selfs. I am just trying to get him to eat and put on some weight. So his body will start making hormones he needs CHOL. to make Hormones. You make a good point I have to watch everything I eat after having Heart bypass sugary. He went on some crazy diet to lose weight that could have stopped his body from making hormones. Guest guest
In every school I have worked at as well as worked with, the school can just hire any paraprofessional. Once the school has hired who they want they will have the person attend trainings for x number of hours. If you want someone who has experience with a specific diagnosis you want to request it in your child's IEP. Other wise the school will find a cheap fix. I hope it helps. Guest guest
Thanks, . Yeah, I've been sub-aiding for years, but I've been to school for teaching as well as taken many certificate courses on ASD's. BUT... Recently, I've notices more aides working with kids on the spectrum at our district. I know for a fact that they are just looking for work. (Not a bad thing, mind you), but their knowledge of the kids crushes me. Quite strict........no real understanding......ugh. It really is simple. Just treat others kindly and with respect.
