Way to go Sue!! You are inspiring me to get more involved in our ACS Light the

Night walks. The don't have any for just Leukemia, that I know of. I need to do

more research.

Awesome! God Bless,

Hi All

I have not been posting on the site for a little while -

but have been reading posts as quickly as I can each day.

Very busy with Light the Night this year and Wednesday

is our Night

I am the White Balloon Ambassador for Survivorship (the first CMler in

Australia) invited with this honour - so Go CMLers

I have had a fantastic time fund raising and $17,000.00 Australian Raised for

critical medical research.

Lots of soup kitchens, high teas, cooking classes and some donations.

Feedback on ME

Still PCRU and received latest results last week.

A few other problems with bloods which I will send thru separately during the

week but on the whole very well.

CMLer

From my advertising in the media of Light the Night

a number of people who in their family they had cared for family members with

CML who have now passed over.

They cannot believe how well I am compared to their own family members.

Amazingly they have advised what happens to those with CML in last stages of

life and the disease. Very worrying.

What has come out of their stories is the fantastic strength of those people -

and how far medical science for CML has come.

We are all very fortunate and I will resolve to continue to fund raise so that

people who continue to be diagnosed will have the best outcomes.

Lottie - thanks for posting all your wonderful information.

By now you will have gone to your new trial but I am thinking of you.

Zavie - thanks for Bens number - he and are just over the moon. No mean

feat - that Zero Number means alot to many people.

I salute you. It has taken Ben 3 years and 2 different drugs to get to CCR.

0.01%. Lost his employment, has a very young family, had terrible side effects

including severe depression at times. Tasigna is the drug for him. He is a real

CML Warrior and the difference in that young man and therefore his future is

amazing. Has a wonderful supportive wife.

Thank you Zavie - you make a difference

Cheers All

I will report back after Light the Night on Wednesday 15th Sept

Sue
