Guest guest
 Hi Donna Nice to hear from you. Don't worry about the drug issue as the UK are now using at least 4 drugs and yours is one of them. I was dx last Nov and have been on Gleevec for 10 months. My PCR has shot back up to 90% and the discomfort I had in my neck, ears and head was due to extreme anaemia. With 6 units of blood transfused on Thursday and Friday all the symptoms have gone and I even walked up a steep hill today! Blessings of modern life. Tomorrow begins the testing of BM etc to see what is going on... All the best to you Beth From: donnaberry99 <no_reply > Subject: [ ] Beth from UK Date: Sunday, 12 September, 2010, 16:12  Hey Beth I am also from UK but live in the US. I remember a few months back there was some literature out saying that the NHS had rejected the use of other drugs other than Gleevec over there? say it isn't so!!! We are thinking of returning to the UK to live and I am currently on Tasigna. Were you just dx last Nov? I see from your post you are having some side effects. The fatigue was a huge one for me I am the mother of 4 and also have Grandchildren so no time to be tired!!! I did not have the fullness in neck you talk about. I have found that alot (I was dx May 2007 and on Gleevec til 3 mos ago) of side effects come and go Regards, Donna Berry
