Guest guest
Just had call from Darren macmillian nurse. His last results show very little reduction in his BCR-ABL results eg gone from 13.8 to 5.56 in a year His doctor wants to see us to discuss other options in 2 weeks. What will they be? His had dx of CML 17months now, and always been on Glivec 400mg apart from when first dx.
Guest guest
Hi Go to your GP and tell them you want a referral to a specialist centre, Royal Free, Cambridge or Hammersmith. You are entitled to it. Your local hospital won't be licensed to carry out bone marrow transplants if that is what they are thinking of. You need to have access to other drugs in the first instance. It is your right to have a second opinion, don't worry about your local doctor. A good doctor does not mind patients exploring all options. www.caringbridge.org/visit/susanleigh On 20 Jul 2010, at 11:42, lisadutton1981 wrote: > Just had call from Darren macmillian nurse.
