Guest guest
Ok - my response is uncalled for here but:  I find that when I have headaches or feel sick to my stomach from the meds - I pull out a hammer - whack myself on the thumb and I immediately lose focus on those other symptoms.   Short term that is much more severe than smoking weed - but long term you will get in less trouble for it. The product that comes from the street is produced with so many toxic pesticides and fertilizers that it hardly seems worth any potential benefit one might think they could get from smoking it. If THC (the active ingredient in the plant) truly is what you're looking for then why not get a prescription for Marinol which is a bonafide medication, made in a factory which follows regulations. Guest guest
Here in California it is legal to purchase and/or grow your own with a prescription (and possibly soon without one). Not saying I'm going to, but I am interested in people's opinions. Might be cheaper and less harmful than prescription meds. Guest guest
Oh that is very scary about the anthrax as all animals eat grains that are grown from the ground and all fruits and vegetables whether off a tree, vine or bush, come from the ground. Nothing is safe any more. Then again the FDA approved products we buy from the store are being recalled due to deaths or many being taken ill because of e-coli, or some other type of contamination. Makes one wonder what is safe to eat or drink ________________________________ From: traceyincanada <traceyincanada@...> Sent: Wed, September 15, 2010 6:01:35 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Medical cannabis If you grow it yourself you can avoid the toxic pesticides and fertilizers but don't kid yourself into thinking that there are no harmful side effects and/or risks. The side effects that are listed for the Marinol, would also apply to the plant smoked directly because the side effects are due to the THC, not the manufacturing process which turns it into a pill. Regulated drugs come with written side effect profiles, just because the drug dealers don't include a list of side effects with the drugs they sell, doesn't mean they don't exist and just because something is grown " naturally " doesn't mean that it's risk free either. Anthrax is a naturally occurring substance which can be found in soil in many parts of the world and I think we all know what Anthrax can do to. Guest guest
The DEA can go after you, but the current Pres gave an order for them not to enforce in States that permit it. Even if they did, they're going to go for the major growers/sellers.
