Guest guest
you will probably have to increae your gleevec. But already having lots of side effects that may not be the ans. I had terrible side effects on gleevec and did not reach PCRU on it either. Went to Tasigna (after sprycel for 3 years of side effects) abd i am OCRU with NO. Side effects. I hope u have a good doctor that knows abt all that is out there for us. Sharon Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T [ ] BCR/PCR results. Thanks. > > ________________________ Hi , The way I read this is that you have relapsed on Gleevec, ie it is no longer working for you, but this needs to be confirmed. Next step would be to do a mutation test and see if you have a mutation......then determine what is a better drug for you if you have a mutation. Some drugs will work for some mutations. For one mutation in particular (t 315i) there are trial drugs that are working. If it is determined that you do have a mutation, then I think you should switch your care to the hands of a CML specialist, or at least consult with one. Hopefully, you present oncologist is pretty knowledgeable.....if he/she does not seem to have explanations and a good plan, then you need a new oncologist for sure.
