Guest guest
I dont think I would be able to use the service, my mom has offered to clean my house. Some how after I was DX I became some kind of freak, in my head I am the only one that knows how to clean my house. My husband tells me I am crazy for not taking my moms offer. I some how became super germ crazy, I feel like I am losing my mind. Guest guest
Hi Sandi, I contacted the company (A1 Superior Home Cleaning) to see where they operate. They are a new company and are only in Canada. They have a few franchises in cities in southern Ontario. Guest guest
Hi Sandy and all, We've had good success with the program here. Our family friends, Diann and Amy, used the service during their treatment for Breast Cancer and were quite pleased with the results. I'll ask them to share more details and will let you know what I hear. Enjoy your weekend, everyone! Guest guest
Hi . I find it strange that the person you contacted denied free or reduced rates for cancer patients. Robyn will have once a month free cleaning for 4 months. She was told that it is nation and country wide. I guess she was misinformed. That is a shame because I am sure alot of you could use it. I see that Zavie said the company is in Canada and mentioned a U.S.State. Robyn is in New Jersey and it is offered here. Good luck to any one else to tries to apply via the website. Guest guest
Did a little research on this after talking with our friends that had used this type service successfully. Cleaningforcancer.com is actually a " parked " domain name and is owned by a domain registrar service called Dotster (www.dotster.com). This particular domain name is not associated with a non-profit that provides cleaning services to cancer patients. If you go to the " site " , it DOES provide listings of cleaning companys but they are only listed there because the registrar associates the domain with the word " cleaning " and initiates an automated search to fill the page. This might explain why one service that was contacted did not know how their name got listed, and for companies that don't offer the service. Cleaning for a Reason is a 501©(3) non-profit organization that coordinates this service in the US and Canada. You can find them and apply at www.cleaningforareason.org (or.com) You might also visit http://www.ijcsa.org/findacleaningservice/cleaningforcancer.html which is the International Janitorial and Cleaning Association. Hope this helps. Greg > > Hi all. > If you go to the website Cleaning for Cancer.com you can apply to have free cleaning of your home or apt. This does not depend on your income.
