Guest guest
First, don't panic... normally the bad things take time to happen and the doctors will have a chance to intervene. I had a similar thing happen last year. I had been PCR negative for several years and then started having positive numbers begin to rise. My Onc increased my Gleevec to 800mg for 10 months, then back to 400mg. I have been PCR negative again for over a year. If that does not work you know that there are other drugs now available to replace Gleevec and most can find one that works for them. Guest guest
Hi Eva, You really need 3 consecutive PCRs in order to establish a trend. Also it could be that one of your results was in error. If it was me, I don't think that I could wait 3 months for the next PCR test. I would insist on having another test done within one month. That result will tell you if the last one was an error. If the new result is higher, then it will be time to investigate further and maybe even change medications. Also, could you clarify the dates that you has your PCR tests. The date for the 0.007 result must have been 2009.
