Guest guest
Has anyone switched from gleevec to another similar drug and had the same great results? Are other drugs less expensive than gleevec? I am trying to figure out if switching is cost effective, but with the same results as gleevec. Thank you. Guest guest
I am not insured, so I asked for help from Novartis, the manufacturer of Tasigna (AND Gleevec, btw). They agreed to one year of the drug at no cost. Not sure what will happen at the end of a year. I have better clinical results with Tasigna than Gleevec. Guest guest
Hi : I had to get help from Novartis about 5 years ago. My husband was out of work, and they gave me my Gleevec for free after we filled out a form. They said they would give it to me for a year also. I never had to fill out a form after the year, as my husband was back to work. I think if your having any financial problems that you would just need to re-apply to them after the year. Hope everything gets better for you. These insurances drive you nuts even when you do have them. From: Rosen Lum <rrosenlum@...> Subject: Re: [ ] Switching from gleevec?
