Guest guest
Hi NKS Womens Issues on Glivec One of the issues that many women have found since they have been on glivec is that there periods change. Many women have experienced: Heavier periods Clotting of blood Shorter period of time between each period until they continually bleed. Many women get caught short - that there clothes are blooded, where they sit is blooded - they may find they bedsheets etc blooded. Many have also commented that the period blood is worse then when they had birth blood. Aneamic Iron tablets including iron infusions including transfusions are experienced Many women decide to have either ablations or marina coils or eventually have hysterectomies. If you look on the pamphlet in the box (glivec) does express statement of hormone changes but it does not actually state period blood etc or any women's issues. In my case - all the above plus a bleed out and raced to hospital with a radical hysterectomy. There are a number of CMLers (women) that have experienced these issues, either more or less. My advise is for all CML women to get themselves a great gyno who will care share with your CML specialist and discuss your issues. Hope your wife is feeling better - glivec does cause hormonal issues with women Cheers Sue (Aussie) __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5146 (20100526) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
