I am sooo thankful to know that my family is not alone!! My daughter is 10 and was diagnosed about a year ago. After starting meds (fluoxatine 10mg) and regular counseling sessions she seemed fine, until about 2 weeks ago. I definitely think the holidays and having time off of school set her off. It was like we were back to the beginning. Thank God I knew what was going on this time. She has awful thoughts and constantly fears she may hurt one of us and feels guilty all the time. I've scheduled an appt for her, but can't get her in until March. (her origional case was closed). I'll never do that again. I thought we were ok. I also work in a special ed. classroom and holidays are always a crazy time. I'm reading Dr Wagner's book and have learned so much. I wish I would have read it sooner.
