Hi everyone! I would appreciate any help with this topic. I am going back to work after a 4 month lay off next Thursday. My new job is at a University that sits atop many hills. The parking is very limited, and, the norm is to park your car in a lot, ride a bus to the stop closest to your building, then walk from there. That's the problem! My knees are so bad that I cannot walk up hill, up stairs, down hill, or down stairs without great difficulty. There are a few handicapped parking spaces in front of the building I am going to work in, otherwise, the above sequence of events applies. Does anyone else have a handicapped permit, and, if so, how do I go about requesting one from my rheumatologist? Thank you very much for any help you can offer.Holly
Guest guest
Hi Holly, Sounds like you will have no trouble getting that permit. It's good you are taking care of yourself. Sierra
