Guest guest
Yes, we are all different and not every medication works the same for all of us. Celebrex did nothing for me but so far it's all I've tried other than Vioxx and now Voltaren. About all I can say about Voltaren is that it's better than nothing. I hope the Tylenol and Enbrel combination will work well for you. On Sun Jan 29 17:56 , Sue <marysue@...> sent: > >Celebrex is still available and might work for you. Guest guest
Also Mobic might work for you. I liked it better than celebrex. Guest guest
Alice . . . I'm relieved to know your doctor removed your implants properly! . . . AND used drains. Is he/she one of our recommended doctors? . . If not, maybe he/she would be interested in being added to our list. If your doctor did an en bloc procedure and gel was contained by the capsules, you received the best procedure possible . . . That doesn't mean that you'll bounce back right away though. Silicone gel implants leak from the outset . . . tiny amounts of silicone get distributed throughout your body . . .sometimes the form "granulomas" that must be removed surgically. Sometimes the free silicone damages tissues. You are still very early in the healing process to be judging your outcome. The soreness will gradually go away . . . and sensitivity levels will change . . . you will "fluff" for as long as a year - so even there, you can't know what you will look like. You can do a self-test for fungus/yeast/Candida. The first thing in the morning, before putting anything in your mouth, work up as much spit and you can and spit in a glass of water. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes. . . If the water is clear, or barely cloudy, no problem. . If there's a milky blob floating, with tendrils hanging down - or if there are chunks floating - or if there's a milky blob at the bottom of the glass, it indicates a problem. Depending on the outcome, you may want to educate yourself on yeast problems . .. "The Yeast Connection" is an old, but still valid book. Diet is hugely important . . . But we'll save that for later. Guest guest
Wow, that's amazing. How much are you taking and what differences have you noticed? Are you using Lugols? And congratulations! Thank you! Hi, I'm a 33 yr-old male. I must thank Gracia for her kind recommendations, and I have in fact started high-dosage iodine...which has helped me immeasurably over the past six months!! So thank you for saving me, when the doctors couldn't!! Respect!! Henry ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever. Guest guest
thanks very much Henry. It has helped me a lot too. I think I will be on high dose for life. Hopefully I will live past tonight! My wood stove is going full blast, my smoke alarm is broken, and a nor'easter is on the way. Gracia Hi, I'm a 33 yr-old male. Guest guest
Hi , No, not Lugol's - couldn't find it where I looked so I'm actually taking Merck Iodide tablets - I get through a sheet a day (25 tablets weighing in at 200 micrograms each), split over breakfast and evening time... The main thing I've noticed is that my puffy face is slowly but surely returning to normal after about 6-7 years of looking like another person entirely (and not a very healthy one at that!) Apart from that, it seems to " plug the gaps " I had noticed with Armour alone - I have more energy and alertness, all that good stuff - I feel like I'm actually about to come out of this chrysalis, and no thanks to the bonehead docs! Hope this helps, Henry > > > Wow, that's amazing. How much are you taking and what differences have you noticed? That is only 5 mg per day, and that is not the iodine component. It is closer to 4 mg of iodine. You can get that much eating a lot of seaweed. Gracia and Sam recommend at least 10 to 12 times that. Lugol's is actually a solution with mix of elemental iodine with iodide salts. Chuck
Guest guest
Thanks Chuck, looks like I need to stock up on the Lugol's! Yes, I had heard that an iodide/iodine mix is more effective... Actually the reason I stabilised around this dosage is because any more and the ol' ticker starts fluttering a bit...but maybe that would pass if I kept on the higher dosage a while longer? Guest guest
I think the old Lugols formula is hard to get now. Potency has been watered down (used to be 5% solution, now is 2%)???? something like that, b/c supposedly it can be used in meth production. ??? big pharma conspiracy. Guest guest
Please be very careful with a " fluttering ticker. " I have one, and it's called Atrial Fibrillation, and it is nothing to play with. The best thing I did was to get a blood pressure machine at the local Walgreen, which shows systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, heart rate. It also notifies me if the pressure is normal, 1st stage high, 2nd stage high, high. One of the best things (for me ) is that it shows up with a special symbol that indicates whether my heart is in fibrillation. I feel it is a very useful tool. The doctors said my fibrillation was due to too much thyroid hormone, so I separated the dose in half, one half am and one half around 4 - 5 pm. That seems to have stopped it. Good luck to you in getting everything straightened out. Roni dvanhelsing <dvanhelsing@...> wrote: Thanks Chuck, looks like I need to stock up on the Lugol's! You've gone too long already!I'm concerned that you're living with mold! . .. Do you have a portable air filtering machine? . .. You can move it from room to room with you. . . Please have someone (not you) search out all sources of mold and eliminate them. Just washing everything with a chlorine solution (let someone else do it in an open house). Wash everything that's washable! . . Including walls and ceiling, light fixtures, AC ducts (call a pro) . .. Mold can be deadly! Guest guest
Sorry I keep sending message, Kathy, but the hormone aspect is important for sleep. I am fully in menopause and take 75mg of natural progesterone and twice weekly I put on a .0375 patch of Vivelle (estradiol) and that has made improvements in my sleep as well. Guest guest
Kathy-- 1.5mg is a prudent beginning dose for people worried and want to be cautious. People with certain conditions are told to start at that dose, so that's normal (it's also possible to start out at 4.5mg). 4.5mg is the maximum adult dose, unless someone weighs a lot, and I'm not sure what the changeover weight is. But your doctor is right on target. -- > thanks for all the personal replies about insomnia. I didnt know LDN > might actually help me in that area!
