Guest guest
Hi, We are new to the Norcross/Peachtree Corners area, and pretty new to this group. I've been reading off and on, but I haven't posted yet. I hope to attend the Forsyth Coffee some time soon (we'll have guests from FL this week or I'd be there!). Anyway, we are still looking for a pediatrician, so I thought I'd ask you guys for your help. We have two children: , 7, who has Asperger's/High Functioning Autism and Maddie, 5, NT. We would like to find a doc within 20/30 minutes of us, so that includes Norcross, s Creek, Alpharetta, Decatur, Sandy Springs... so I'd love to hear from you! Bedside manner is important... I like someone who takes their time with my kids (and me, LOL) but who is also very good clinically. Thanks in advance for your input. I look forward to getting to know you guys! mom to , 7, ASD and Ajax, his amazing autism assistance dog and Maddie, 5, NT
Guest guest
, Thank you so much for your response!! I don't know how I missed it before! I was just feeling " pitiful " that no one had answered and I decided to pull my message up on the group and check the " thread " or whatever, and there was your message! Thank you SO much. I definitely plan to give them a call... we live about 2 miles from the Forum, and we FREQUENT Trader Joe's! I really do appreciate your response... thanks a lot! I'll let you know how it goes. mom to , 7, ASD and his service dog Ajax and Maddie, 5, NT > > We have a fantastic pediatrician in Peachtree Corners!! We use Pediatric Associates of North Atlanta. They are located in the building above Traders Joes in the Forum. We specifically LOVE Dr. Lori DeSoutter, but all of the doctors are great there..we have used them all. She has experience with children with autism and coordinates with our developmental pediatrician to write my daughter's ADHD medication prescription so that it is covered on my insurance (since the developmental ped. doesn't take insurance). They also take sick appointments on Saturday mornings, which is great. Their phone number is 770-476-9885. Also, our developmental pediatrician is Dr. Alan Weintraub, who is also located in Peachtree Corners/Norcross. > Good Luck! > ) > Mom to Abby, 6 > > > --------------------------------- > Never miss a thing. Guest guest
our old pediatrician made it clear she would not continue to see my son if we continued to refuse vaccinations. so we found a more understanding one who is fine with us signing a waiver of vaccine for her (to protect her liability). i would think it varies by ped but that was our experience. > > how do these doctors respond to parents who do not want to vaccinate or at > least put off vaccinations for a long while? > > > > H Cale > Vice President, Unlocking Autism > www.unlockingautism.org > Manager, ARI Call Center > www.autism.com > 770.463.4475 home office > 866.366.3361 toll free > > All information provided or published by Unlocking Autism is for information > purposes only.
