My son is 5 years old and would love to connect with someone locally. I feel as though he feels alone (as well as myself). Thanks " Booger " exposures??? Hi, We have realized that many of our daughters rituals revolve around her " boogers " . She feels that her nose and anything that comes from it is very dirty. So, this leads to many rituals. Washing her face, keeping her hair in a ponytail in the shower, sniffing, blowing, washing her hands, etc.... I was wondering if anyone else's kids have ever shared this fear? And if you have any helpful advice or exposures. We have come up with an exposure of her touching her nose, near the inside, and then touching something else. And then we'll play a game without her washing anything. We haven't started this, but plan to try. It seems so ridiculous, but I know it is so real to her. Thanks. We are also starting a support group for special needs kids. www.fkmad.org It started as a local group, but is taking off in other areas. They had a small get together a bit ago, we couldn't go. He is seeing Kristi Weiner in north Tampa, although we live in South Tampa. It is so wonderful to hear that we are not the only one.
