Guest guest
Just curious what you would do. We went to meet some new friends today, they are very nice people but their home is extremely dirty and not just " OCD dirty " , I mean filthy. They were so happy to meet us and us them as we are new to our town and homeschoolers and finally met some folks we like but..... my 11yo OCD dd will not return to their home and they don't have a running car so we can't even try to plan to meet out. I feel awful to " dump " our new friends and don't know the proper way to handle it, do I tell the woman the truth about my dd and OCD? or just make excuses until she stops calling? I am sure a similar situation had happened to some of you, how did you handle it? I see alot of posts regarding scholl here's my 2 cents! My dd was always homeschooled until last year when a therapist suggested if she had more " structure " she wouldnt have so much time to dwell on the bad thoughts. She attended public school for 4 months and it was an absoliute nightmare - not just because of OCD and the anxiety it caused our dd but in general. Homeschooling is an awesome alternative, if you want more info check out my new website homeschoolersconnection.com C)My dd said today how neat it would be to actually have a friend with OCD because they would understand each other. Anyone out there in Middle Tennessee? email me @ barkstrom@... Thanks, Best to all of you Melinda Thanks Melinda
