Ellen _________________________ Hi Ellen, They are an investment. If you have a Costco, they sometimes promote them and maybe have a better price....or I would really research on the net (look for juicers & blenders) and you might find a discount. I got mine at least 10 years ago and I don't think they had different models. Mine is basic, with on/off and variable speed dial. I think the new container might be as large but shorter? to fix under a cabinet. There is an advertisement that shows the blender chopping up a hunk of a 2x4. For prep......if not organic, I might peel. I do take the outside off the pineapple (but not every little eye), remove seeds from apples (contain a little arsenic), and just use a vegetable brush on other veggies. The things I love to eat, like avocado (guacamole) I don't put in the blender! same with a lot of fruit....I enjoy eating out of hand. You can easily find veg. wash products to remove surface wax, pesticides, etc. How are you doing Ellen? nice to see you posting.

Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the info. I've been looking at Costco. Maybe closer to the Holidays they'll be more around. I think I'd get a lot of use from it. I'll look for a veg wash, that should help. I want it more for greens rather than fruit also. I eat lots of fruit anyway . I'm doing well. Still on Gleevec, 10 years last July, hard to believe. The CML'rs have come a long way since that trial. Amazing progress. I'm glad to see that Tasigna is working for you and you're feeling well. You have great info on staying healthy. Ellen > > > > I've been looking at these. They look great when you recover from the shock of the cost. > > Wondering about the prep work. But apples are easy to cut in half and pop the seeds out. C.
Guest guest
Thanks Sharon, I never thought of vinegar as a fruit wash. I use it to clean and it works pretty well. I'm trying to stay away from chemical cleaners as much as possible. Ellen > > > > > > I've been looking at these.
