Guest guest
I felt the same way about all the drugs.. got tired of all the side effects and still not feeling good... Antibiotic theapy helped me. I am careful what I eat now and off all the drugs after 7 years of trying a lot of stuff. I take chicken cartilage, fish oil, and vitamin C. I do have joint damage on right hand but feel very, very close to normal these days. No fatigue, no swelling, no sleepness nights, no foggy brain, no wasted days, no hair loss, no depression, just a couple of nodules. My thoughts are that a wee bit of joint damage does not mean the end of the world especially if all your other organs and body parts are feeling healthy and good. I first had all amalgam fillings removed from my teeth and next worked on the leaky gut problem. An alternative doc helped me. No milk, no wheat, no sugar, no processed food. I mostly eat fish and chicken and veggies. I can eat brown rice. Good luck to you, Kay ----- Original Message ----- From: " gamurphy64 " <gamurphy64@...> <Rheumatoid Arthritis > Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 7:51 AM Subject: What else is there? > So has anybody out there tried natural supplements of anykind to help > with RA. Guest guest
hello. i have been using herbal supplements for some time now, and i really believe that they have kept me from getting any worse. some dr's will say that it probably is just a placebo, but that's OK. my RA is not progressing as rapidly as some folks do and i am tired a lot, but i still think i would be worse if i weren't taking the supplements. there are at least 2 herb mail lists, one on and the other on Google, and i have learned a lot from those two sites through the past 8 years. not enough to be able to get off the basic RA drugs, but enough to keep me ambullatory and functioning according to my neccessities. the main thing is to get off the foods that aggravate the condition and learn what foods are the healthiest. love.. granny lee. ----- Original Message ----- From: gamurphy64 Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Friday, February 20, 2004 7:51 AM Subject: What else is there? So has anybody out there tried natural supplements of anykind to help with RA. I'm sure some of you have. I have seen wonderful results with supplements. Not me personally with RA but some friends of mine have. What I'm saying is that food supplements is the answer to getting help. If drugs are the answer than why are they getting rich and everybody just seems to have sideffects. Go figure! Just my two cents.
