Was that a rerun, I remember a show a while back where he was going

through a house and he mentioned mold and chemicals. I wrote several

times. He is from my city, they did an article in our paper about six

months ago or so where he went to school, etc.

I share your concern with the ‘bombarding’ of emails

to Dr Oz. I personally feel all that will happen is he or his team will

set his emails up so that when LDN is mentioned, it will go straight into his

spam email or rubbish bin. I am no IT specialist but I do believe this

can be done (within 2 weeks). However, everyone’s drive for more

awareness is very encouraging.

It is my understanding that the goal by each of us doing this is

to get Oprah’s attention. Is this correct or have I missed

something?

If my understanding is correct, then I would suggest an email be

sent to Dr Oz suggesting he contact one of the LDN ‘expert’ Drs to

discuss the benefits of this important therapy and leave it to him.

I forgot that a reply to a member does not

reach this Board so will re-post.

I would not be too surprised if we do not hear from Dr. Oz immediately. Has it

occurred to anyone else that Dr. Oz may not wish to hear about, or publicly

acknowledge, LDN?

Doesn't Dr Oz derive a large chunk of income from a TV broadcaster that derives

a large chunk of advertising income from big pharma?

Does anyone else see a possible conflict of interest here for the good doctor?

It is very hard not to be cynical about all doctors, especially TV docs who get

paid a huge amount of money. What gives me hope is Dr.Steele in the UK

who`s been on TV for as long as I can remember. The fact that he is stepping up

to lend his name to LDN means there are a few good ones out there! I know the

UK is different (I`m British living here in the US) and the fact they have

healthcare for all probably means less money floating around and landing in

doctor`s pockets - a system less open to financial corruption I hope.

BUT, people like Dr.Oz are always promoting good health for the whole body, much

of which is just healthy eating choices and exercise. We can only try to spread

the word in his direction and hope he might be one of the fearless ones that is

prepared to not be swayed by money, big pharma, and lean toward good sense and

better health for all.

I will continue with my weekly Monday emails in the hope of wearing him down!

We won't know unless we try.I'd rather try and be disappointed than always

wonder what-if ;)

Bev, you have a point.  Dr is not fearful of anything.  He risked his career yeas ago through what he believes is right for people's health.  He is the Dr that was brought to court for prescribing nicotine patches.  He was really brought over the coals for this - he ended up winning his court case.

If he believes in something, he will fight for it.  It's great to have him behind our LDN movement and hope this can be used around the world to encourage other celebrity Drs.

I was a bit late with my Monday post, I only just realised it, but I've sent

one. Unfortunately I didn't check the forum last night and missed the reminder.

Still, I hope it's been added to his pile. We are not exactly losing anything by

bombarding him with LDN emails and you never know, little drops make huge

impressions eventually.

I agree with your assessment. It is exactly for this reason I have not suggested 'THE DOCTORS' from the Dr Phil show. Advertising and financial support come from Duane Pharmacies. But like others have said 'we won't know if we don't try.' Even if Dr Oz never sees an email, you never know who may. patti

Yeah, I am sure it is fish. He got a flu shot on his show. He should have done a

study with a meter to read the metal in that. I am so sad that after all of his

good health advice on Oprah that he doesn't seem to pay much attention to our

community. He even was with Montel on Oprah talking about food and

vitamins being essential in immune system disorders like MS. Oh well....

Dr Oz has shares in one of the vaccine companies that manufactures an h1n1 shot.

The information is over on the evidence of harm group.

I'm sorry I posted it. I read it on eoh too.   I appreciate all he does teach

to those who don't know.

Did anyone think he may be in jeopardy of loosing his career if he voiced an

opinion. I heard his kids didn't get the H1N1 fwiw. I could be wrong though.

You're right - I heard him say in an interview that his wife and kids won't

get the H1N1 shot. Apparently that decision is left to his wife.

Just the other day on the board an RN was reprimanded for trying to sell water.

MDs having financial interests in any drug or vaccination is a huge conflict of

interest. I can't believe how we put up with it, really. In Oz's case, it's

worse because of his show he is influencing millions and encouraging them to get

flu shots.

Yes but somewhere the other day I heard he told

Jo Behar (from the View) that his kids are getting

their vaccinations but on a slow, one at a time,

schedule. His wife insists!!

Is it Ellen who said she was a fan of Dr. Oz? Don't they come up with some

unmentionable things, though? Never thought I would see some of those subjects

discussed on TV. I have often thought I would never want to be in the place of

the guests discussing those delicate subjects. I think they changed the time

they feature it here, so I have lost tract of when they come on. I only have a

TV guide for the evening programs. Do you realize how many others besides Dr.

OZ got their start of the Oprah show, like Dr. Phil and now his son produces

" The Doctors " . I like that show, too.

So mammagrams are xrays? Fell stupid. Don't take them but just want to be able

to tell others why they shouldn't either, like my sister.

>I rarely watch Dr. Oz, but I tuned in today because he was talking about

cancer. I should not have bothered. I was infuriated! I wonder where the guy got

his medical liscense. He had two " specialists " talking about thyroid cancer.

When asked about the causes of thyroid cancer, the thyroid surgeon basically

said dumb luck and heredity! No mention of iodine! For treatment of course, they

recommend to take it out and then take drugs. No talk of trying to shrink it

first.

>Even though they talk about thyroid cancer being on the rise, they offer no

explaintion. Gee, you think that the fact that there is no iodine in our diets

anymore could be a factor Dr. Oz?

>They did talk a bit about childhood exposure to radiation as a possible cause,

and he did caution about dental and xray radiation, but then he told people that

even though it has risks, go ahead and get those mammograms. URGH! No wonder his

" star patient " Oprah, looks like her body is screaming GIVE ME IODINE, and he

continues to not hear it.
