Guest guest
Dear Skip, When I noted your longevity at the bottom of your post, I immediately thought of you as King of the Hill. No one can come close to your record, so you are at the very top of anyone's scale. I know you must wonder sometimes why you have lived so long. I think you said once that the doctor had come to the conclusion that you had a different kind of CML that no one else had. There you go, for want of a better explanation, you will have to go with that explanation, but to us, you are like the Statue of Liberty, with her beacon saying its possible to still have a life after CML. It changes your whole horizon and from day 1, it changes your whole perspective, too. Every day we wake up is another bonus day that we have been given and we have to wonder what we will do with it - live it or bitch about it. I look out into the world, with my CML friends in mind and think if they can get through it, so can I. You serve us well by continuing to tell your story, because there are newcomers who have not introduced themselves, so we can't call them by name, but they are out there and learning from us, just as we learned from others. We are like one giant textbook and in it are the secrets of living with CML. Carpe Diem Lottie Duthu
