ASH 2010 - Novartis Meeting

Hi all,

I will be attending ASH this year (Dec 3-7, Orlando, FL).

Novartis has invited me to attend an informal meeting to discuss the unmet

needs of patients with CML.

I have already brought up the Tasigna packaging issue with them and am

expecting an answer at this meeting.

I will bring up the question of Gleevec/Tasigna serum level testing. My

understanding is that Novartis has stopped providing this test free of

charge.

If you have other concerns, please let me know and I will present them at

this meeting.

As you know, Novartis has a long term commitment to people with CML and

other hematological cancers and disorders. We also are committed to

developing and maintaining relationships and dialogue with patient advocacy

leaders in order to ensure that Novartis understands the patient perspective

and incorporates it into all that we do.

Since you will be attending the American Society of Hematology meeting in

Orlando, Florida next month, I would like to invite you to an informal

meeting followed by dinner on Saturday, December 4 to engage in a dialogue

about the perspectives and unmet needs of people with CML, including

informational needs regarding disease management.
