Hi all,

I am going on to 7 weeks on the half reduction of Tasigna (400mg daily) and I

feel FABULOUS!!!! Wow what a difference dropping that 400mg has made. I still

have no hair growing at all (incl legs etc) which I still find weird, but have

NO side effects at all, I am able to finally carry on with my life after 3 1/2

years post dx. But don't get too excited for me yet... I will get my bcr/abl

results this Friday after being on this dosage. I wait with baited breathe. I

know some of you have asked your Oncs if you can reduce your dosage and they

have advised against it. Remember too I still wasn't at PCRU even on the full

dose but could no longer stand the side effects. I have noticed my WBC is a

little elevated for me (8.4) so hopefully that is not a bad indicator.

Watch this space for the results!

*Hi Donna *

*I am happy for you on less mg tasigna. I was on 300 mg gleevec before

switching to Tasigna. My oncologist put me on 400 mg and I have been there

for 3 years in January. I slowly have the side effects coming back and the

same ones. I hve oint pain, muscle cramps all the time, back pain, hair

loss, runnny nose, etreme fatigue and a cough all the time. I am thinking

now that no matter what the TKI I take, my body will react in this way.I

am fortunate that I have enjoyed PCRU foe 8 years now no matter the dosage.

I am so happy for your reduced side effects. *

*Best to you*
