Beth in UK

Beth is a lovely, placid woman from what I glean from her letters. She recently

sent me a picture of herself and she is quite lovely with a beautiful smile. If

you are reading this, Beth, know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all

the way. Like sucks, especially when people are trying to live life the best

way they know how and never intend to hurt anyone. Beth has a philosophy on

life to live and let live. She is deeply spiritual, without being religious

(her words), but we could communicate about our feelings on different subjects.

She practices the Eastern philosophy. I don't know why she chose to announce

this on Jerry's site, but at least we know she is very ill and we can respond to

that. Thanks to for keeping tabs on this and forwarding messages to her.

My oncologist once told me there was something very wrong with my results one

week and I asked what it could be and he said CLL. He said it could morph from

one leukemia to another. He should have been sure before he announced that to

me in such a casual way - in the hallway. It took 14 or more years to shed him

and his negative and nasty attitude, so it is never too late to switch.

My circumstances are different, in that all of the oncologists practice from the

same office and I would have had to go out of town to see another oncologist. I

found I had to do that and while inconvenient, it is working better for me.

Sometimes time and distance get in your way and I would have the same people

looking down on me in a hospital bed, with my life in their incapable hands.

Sometimes we have to take over the steering wheel when they start to go wobbly

on us and driving left of center. We have to get a backbone and stand up for

our rights and know more about our disease - it may save your life. Keep us

informed on Beth. I am confused, she is in pallative care, but she is receiving

chemotheraphy?????
