So good to hear from you!!! I think of you often and hope that you

I am doing well. Busy with my girls - ages 4 & 8 now! Glad to hear

Good luck on the adoption process. and I thought about that route,

but we're old enough to be nost of the " older children's " grandparents.

We know there's a ton of deserving young people out there but we're

concerned about starting the process now. By the time we get through and

approved, any child we got wouldn't graduate from high school until we were

in our 60's and from college when we're close to 70. So, we're going to

continue hosting exchange students for the next couple years instead. It

's more emotionally challenging when we have to say good-bye to them at the

end of 11 months knowing we may never see them again, but at least we gave

them a chance to experience life here in the USA and we have the joy of

being " parents " again for a time.

However, if you need any links to adoption sites or any info along those

lines, let me know. I think I even have a couple books on adopting older

children, RAD, etc. that I would be willing to let go for a couple bucks

and the cost of shipping.

MUCH EASIER THAN TRYING TO EXPLAIN ALL THAT HAS GONE ON THIS LAST

YEAR! I know you remember Ray, the gray haired firefighter famous for

his hugs? And me, the redhead who was in the blonde line when God was

passing out brains........You have been missed and thought of often

woman! WE ARE ALL SO GLAD TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!

The only update in my journal is that I had my hernia repair and

tummy tuck last Friday.......ran a little fever in the hospital ansd

again over this weekend and as my earlier post said, I had to make a

trip to DRMC to get rehydrated and drained at the same time tonight!

My NEW PICS are here in my folder, until I can figure out how to get

them on my web pages! But you can sure see the difference a year

makes!!!

But you know, FINALLY, just minutes after this tummy tuck, my brain

made that switch, that connection, that change from " I am still fat "

to " DAMN, I look good! " I think just getting rid of those hanging

rolls was part of what held me back mentally!!!

It has been a long road, a rough road, and one that is still rocky at

times, but I would change it for the world! I have a life, I can live

that life, and I AM ETERNALLY GRATEFUL TO THE WONDERFUL MEMBERS OF

THIS GROUP WHO LED ME DOWN THE PATH, HOLDING MY HANDS

SOMETIMES,KICKING MY BUTT AT OTHERS!, TO DR'S Z AND K, WHO DID THE

HARD WORK!, TO DEE AND MICHELLE, AND ARIANNA, AND ALL THE STAFF THAT

WORKS SO HARD TO KEEP US IN LINE, AND MOST OF ALL TO MY KIDS, RAY,

AND TO GOD WHO SAW MR THROUGH IT ALL!

But I have to give a special thanks to you....and to those like

you...who went before me.....who shared the risks, who shared their

stories and who helped me make the biggest and best decision of my

life! Without the ds - I would HAVE no life...... THANK YOU!!!!

I am so happy to hear life is going well for you, stick around, come

back once in a while darn it!!!

Of course I remember you and your family. I am so glad to see you posting
