Guest guest
You are right, Tracey, you have to read the article closely, it's not the title, it's the content. I like it when you jump in and tell us your opinion. I wish more would opine, so we could dialog about important issues facing us. Health care is one big problem, we have some who cannot get to a large research center or see a CML specialist and what is even more intriquing is that some have never met anyone else with CML. I think this forum in some way fills in the gaps. I would like to remedy that by some kind of networking, where people could meet if they live in your area, or are traveling through. I'm not bashful, as you may have noticed. LOL I know when I travel, I post it and people along that route will ask me to stop at their city so they can meet me or even drive over 100 miles just to meet someone with CML. I am not foolish enough to believe it's me, they want to see the face of another CML person. You don't often hear the word " penpal " anymore, we did that in grammer school, but some of those relationships have lasted over the years. My next door neighbor kept a pen pal and they finally met after 40 years. She had a party so she could meet her friends and neighbors and when my neighbor went to England for her son's graduation from Oxford, they met again. It was nice to meet her because I had been to her city and we had something to talk about. She had cashed in her retirement fund to be able to come to the states. I don't know if I would have gone to that extreme, but it was important to her. Carpe Diem, Lottie Duthu
