Guest guest
I read the stories " Unsent Letter " --the Amy s story, and the story about Olga Reagor. Both are deceptive. These 2 stories have nothing to do with the research related to embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells. Stem cell transplants(bone marrow transplants) have always used adult stem cells--no controversy. Near as I can tell, the reference to the transplant done with cord blood as using adult stem cells is disingenuous(I love that word). How old is Olga & was her brother a baby or was his cord blood stored & for how long. And I guess cord blood cells are adult cells because they aren't embryonic. Someone please correct me where I'm wrong. I know there are others on the list who could explain this more completely and accurately than I've done here. I, too, am of the opinion that we need research to explore all avenues of stem cell research. Anti-science hurts everyone's future. Ignorance is not bliss.
